Alpeen Hotel

Great find for our stay! Fantastic ski in ski out location. However the only reason we may not choose to come back is the ski shop is closed between 12 and 3. We found this very inconvenient. Even when we turned up at 11.40 they had locked up early. It’s not a boot room with lockers and is very basic, but serves its purpose. Otherwise perfect location for all amenities.

While the location is indeed pretty perfect, the rest was far from. They call it an 'experience' hotel.. the experience was well below even the most basic of expectations. On the night we checked in there was a techno night going on next door, reception didn't even bother to mention it. We only found out by the noise and the complimentary ear plugs left on the side. The theme continued with no one on reception ever bothering to say good morning or good evening.

A good location but the compromise is a small room with no facilities to make a drink and a small shower/wc - the shower glass partition wasn’t long enough to stop the water spraying the floor and door, so consequently the walls and skirting were water damaged. The additional negative was that we were 3 floors underneath the club/bar which on Saturday played very loud music until 00.30am…not good after a long day of great skiing! Breakfasts were a bit chaotic, and both self service coffee machines stopped working one morning creating queues of cross customers. On other mornings at least one was out of action. I read reviews about the fantastic breakfasts - but I don’t think it lived up to expectation. All in all, a great location but otherwise disappointing.

Staff was very nice. Ski room opening hours is not great (closed during lunch time, opens from 9am only) Room was ok but very expensive for an ok quality

Room was clean, staff helpful. There was no ski self storage though and needed to pay a fee for ski valet and couldn’t get skis out before 9am when the shop opened.

Great view, right in the middle of the mountain area. I was at summer time, quiet and nice.

We spent just one night at this hotel, arriving after midnight. Our key was waiting for us. Small but nice rooms, clean, good layout, with everything you need. Breakfast was simple but nice. Staff friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a basic hotel as a base for skiing, this is good.
