Blue Lion Inn

We rang and booked a table for 11! We got there and were greeted by a friendly bar man who was also very helpful. They had the table ready and even kids toys which sort of kept them quiet 👀😂. Most of us had the Sunday Roast and it was perfect, tasted great and the right size. We will be back minus the kids 😁. Thanks to all the staff

We stayed at a local luxury hotel and ventured out our second night to The Blue Lion Inn for our dinner. I had seen the amazing menu online and thought we'd give it a try. I must add that on the way to Devon we did a little bit of shopping in Launceston and on asking where to eat locally I was advised that The Blue Lion "only does chips and crisps", how wrong they were! Wow what fabulous food! I have added some photos. Rhis is fine dining in a pub a**osphere 💯

Friendly reception and nice room with good shower

Great two night stay, nice , clean and comfortable. probably the best steak pie I’ve ever had. I will definitely be back when I’m in the neighbourhood.

Stayed one night whilst working in the village. The pub is full of character. I had a double room that was presented beautifully, clean and great facilities (shame to waste it on work, would of happily stopped off here with my wife). Spent a couple of hours in the evening in the pub with lovely food washed down with some drinks. Service was very friendly. Highly recommended and would stop in again if passing. Thanks again

Whilst down in Devon visiting family - the Patriarch suggested this venue for dinner. 11 of us rocked up, expecting decent pub grub. The menu’s were presented and on inspection intimated a more refined option. For a country pub, in a small village, off the main drag - I must admit that I was a little skeptical as to whether the food would prove to be up to the promise of the menu…. The food arrived - the table was pretty much silent, as we all tucked in to food which very much lived up to the promise of the menu. On future visits to Devon - this will be our choice of venue for food. Lovely friendly pub too.

Good sized room, extremely clean with fantastic hosts

Charlie was excellent, food very good indeed.

We stayed for three nights visiting family. The room was lovely. We had dinner two nights and the food was superb. Breakfast was totally help yourself, which was great. Perhaps an egg would have been nice but not essential! The pub had a lively a**osphere and Charlie is a great host. I'd like to have seen a hand rail for coming down the stairs, but i managed. Would highly recommend.
