The hotel has a great location, right at the south gate of the ancient city, with Zhongyi Market nearby. The rooftop restaurant offers stunning views. The front desk staff are very welcoming and responsible. There's parking available next to the street office, and the hotel is quiet at night. Highly recommended.

Pros - hotel location very near to the most popular area of the old town (west gate). Small local mall within walking distance. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. WiFi is fast. Hot shower pressure is strong. Room is clean, no smoking stench. Winter time the air conditioning provides hot air to warm the room. Cons - only 1 lift to serve the hotel guests. The air conditioner can be quite noisy when turned on. Breakfast is cheap but not appetising, not even a hot pot of coffee is served. Note - Very difficult to get online hailing taxi from Lijiang station to the old town area. I waited close to an hour for a ride. Best to prepare your own transport in advance.

This Hanting boasts the most modern facilities I've encountered, with a very practical and well-designed layout. The room was incredibly spacious, spotlessly clean, and wonderfully quiet. The surrounding area has a pleasant, villa-like atmosphere. The service was attentive and thoughtful, and the breakfast was both delicious and excellent value for money. Its location offers convenient transportation, being very close to the ancient city. Overall, a truly excellent experience.
