The location is near everything in lijiang old town. I decide to choose 4 days to stay here because of location.

Location wise super really good.bed is nice too. Large room. Worth the value. Near north entrance The staff is okay. There help with luggage, food delivery. Smart toilet with bidet. Recommended for muslim. Unfortunately they inform toilet seat break during our stay, we did not realised that but we have to pay for compensation.
They got washing machine but no dryer available. The inn just next to chagee. Very comveniennt.

Overall, the stay was decent—the location is highly strategic, situated right in front of the entrance to Lijiang Old Town, and the place itself was clean and well-maintained.
However, we encountered a significant issue with the check-out time. Trip.com listed the check-out time as 2:00 p.m., but the homestay owner informed us it was actually 12:00 p.m. and mentioned that Trip.com had been notified about this discrepancy a long time ago. He also noted that the Chinese version of the listing has already been updated. Unfortunately, this caused serious disruption to our travel plans, as we had to check out two hours earlier than expected and were left without a clear plan for the remaining time. It's frustrating that this incorrect information is still shown on the platform, and we hope it gets corrected soon to prevent further inconvenience to future guests.

Room was spacious with heated toliet seat, it was clean and smoke free. Location was superb within lijiang old town but on the quieter stretch. We were located on level 2 and hence could hear some creaking of the wooden planks when people walked on level 3 but nothing too substantial that will affect our sleep, we had good sleep.

Relieved that we selected this inn that is close to main road which made commuting (didi or taxi) easy. Can’t imagine having to drag our luggages on the cobbled stone path in the old town. Inn was bright and felt home-coming. The room we stayed was one of the two largest in the inn – spacious! Just that toilet, bathroom and bath tub are semi-open hence 1, you need to be comfortable for room mates to hear your toilet businesses; 2, you have to bring all your clothes into the shower room ie only wet area and 3, not likely you get to use the bath tub unless you chase your room mates out of the room. Drinking water was unlimited, room was cleaned daily with change of fresh towels and toiletries, and reception was manned 24 hours. Breakfast was provided (if you booked with it) but you have to step out of the inn to a food outlet diagonally opposite the inn. The guys manning the inn were very helpful and offered to provide any advices or recommendations in person or over WeChat. Overall a pleasant experience, with the right vibe of staying in an old town in a quaint inn.

Location is probably the best if you want to stay at GuCheng as it is only 50 meter from the main road. The boss are extremely helpful in giving suggestions about travelling. The room and hotel setting is very authentic. The insulation is a problem for my family as it get very cold at night despite the heater is working hard.
