Boyue Langting Resort Hotel (Lijiang Gucheng South Gate)

Easy to find. Took the airport shuttle to the south gate area (it used to be closer, but the drop-off point is now a bit further), then it was about a ten-minute walk. The room was spacious and fully smart-controlled (though the AC occasionally needed manual adjustment). The only downside was the hard toothbrush; you can ask the front desk for a softer one. From the window, you could see the tip of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. It's only a two or three-minute walk to the South Gate of the old town, and it's very quiet. There are breakfast shops and stores all around the alley. Great value for money.

The room was clean and tidy, and the owner was very welcoming and hospitable. As it was my first time in Yunnan, I could ask the owner about anything I wasn't sure of. The owner even treated us to flower cakes. I'll definitely book this hotel again when I return to Yunnan.

The room was quite spacious, perfect for a family of three, and the two 1.5-meter double beds were great. As a new hotel, all the facilities are also very new. It would be even better if the bathroom had a place to hang or put clothes, as that was a bit inconvenient. We encountered a few minor issues during check-in, but they were resolved very quickly, and the service was excellent and prompt. The hotel's location is also excellent, only about 200 meters from the South Gate of the Old Town. If you look up while walking that short distance, you can even catch a glimpse of the snowy mountains. Naturally, there are plenty of dining options nearby, and there's even a night market in the evening, though it's mostly barbecue, which I wasn't too interested in. All in all, it was a very good stay, and I would definitely consider staying here again if I come back. (Forgot to take pictures of the room, so just enjoy the beautiful snowy mountain view!)

I arrived a bit late, and only the last rooms were left, so the front desk kindly upgraded me to a bathtub room for free, which I absolutely loved.

The room was very clean, and I was pleasantly surprised to catch a glimpse of snow-capped mountain peaks in the morning! It's fully smart, which is very convenient. The shower slippers are disinfected daily, so you'll need to ask the front desk for them when you check in. Disposable toilet seat covers also need to be requested from the front desk! The service was excellent, very warm and proactive in helping with luggage. The location is super close to the South Gate Street of Lijiang Old Town, right in the alley across from the Old Town's South Gate. If you're coming from Dali Station, the first bus stop, South Gate Street, is where you get off!

Great hotel! It's just a short walk from where the airport shuttle drops you off at the South Gate of the Old Town. The owner even gave me some delicious complimentary flower cakes. The next morning, I got to see the stunning 'Golden Mountain under the Sun' on Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. I'll definitely be back!
