ANYU Hotel - Lijiang old Town

The room was clean and tidy, and offered excellent value for money. The additional services provided were the most comprehensive I've ever experienced in a hotel: free airport pick-up, free laundry, free afternoon tea, and even a complimentary gift bag and souvenir. The breakfast was very thoughtfully prepared and aesthetically pleasing. The hotel staff were kind, friendly, and professional. The only drawback was that the room felt a bit cramped and the bathroom was quite tiny. Overall, I was satisfied with the design and give it a five-star rating.

Once again, I confidently entrusted myself to An Yu. From the moment I was picked up at the airport to the afternoon tea, breakfast, and dinner – everything was taken care of. Just like the one in Hangzhou, the Lijiang courtyard is small and cozy, nestled quietly by the old town. If you're looking for some excitement, it's just a short walk into the old town.

This hotel was a delightful surprise. What truly impressed me was their impeccable service, which was attentive without being intrusive. From the perfect greeting at check-in to the complimentary airport transfer arranged by the concierge at departure, there was no forced small talk, yet someone was always there precisely when needed. The thoughtful details were everywhere: the room offered a choice of three pillows, multi-charger cables, and a humidifier. Turndown service included a non-slip mat already placed, a goodnight card on the bedside table, and even a 'travel kit' with a parasol, sunglasses, and sun protection spray. They anticipated every need, both expected and unexpected. If you dislike overly enthusiastic service, value a high-quality stay, or simply want a quiet place to relax – this is the perfect choice. I won't consider staying anywhere else on my next visit.

This was my first stay at Anyu, and it was a fantastic experience! The staff were incredibly warm and helpful, and both breakfast and afternoon tea were delicious. The courtyard space is small but exquisitely charming and full of character, and it's perfectly located away from the noise and commercialism of the ancient city center. I'm especially satisfied! 👍

This hotel is absolutely fantastic, and I'll definitely prioritize this brand for future trips. The location is next to Indigo, close to the South Gate of the old town, making it convenient for exploring the old town or catching a taxi. The service is exceptional and incredibly attentive. The room came equipped with shawls, sunscreen, sunglasses, earplugs, and even nail clippers. They even prepared a birthday gift for our child who happened to be celebrating their birthday during our stay. We were greeted with welcome tea, complimentary afternoon tea, and the breakfast included abalone and bird's nest soup. The toiletries are from Le Labo. The room always had a soothing sandalwood scent, which was very therapeutic. It's a converted old house, but it doesn't feel eerie at all. The decor is very tasteful and high-end. Crucially, the room also has oxygen supply, which is extremely important for first-time visitors to high-altitude areas, as it significantly reduces anxiety about the elevation. I stayed here with my extended family, and overall, we were very satisfied.

Nestled in the heart of Lijiang Old Town, this hotel offers a serene escape with its charming, retro architecture. The bedding is incredibly comfortable, and the staff are exceptionally attentive and thoughtful. They've considered every detail, providing sunscreen and shawls for guests in each room, and even offering free laundry for a few items. The toiletries are all from Le Labo. Both breakfast and afternoon tea with fruit are incredibly generous! I'm now determined to stay at all An Yu properties in the future. Upon departure, I was even given a generous gift bag from the hotel, including a canvas bag, a water bottle, and nail clippers.

The hotel's location is super convenient, right by the South Gate of the old town. You can't drive in the old town, but a hotel butler will come with a cart to pick up your luggage. The hotel itself has a really comfortable vibe, and it's great for photos. The breakfast is amazing – it's practically brunch! The afternoon tea is also very refined, perfectly embodying that 'small yet beautiful' resort feel. The hotel service is absolutely top-notch, and the amenities in the room are so practical, like shawls, sunglasses, and sun cream – really thoughtful! I'd definitely come back again if I have the chance!

The hotel is conveniently located right at the south gate of the ancient city. Upon arrival, you can enjoy a complimentary afternoon tea. Our room was upgraded in advance to one facing the inner courtyard, which was much quieter. They offer full oxygen supply in the room starting at 8 PM; you just need to turn it on if needed. An'yu's service is consistently excellent. They provide a complimentary amenity bag, and the breakfast is fantastic. On the day we checked in, we were late reserving dinner at the hotel, so they arranged for delivery service from the neighboring Yunxueli restaurant. This allowed us to enjoy Yunxueli's food without waiting in line. I would definitely choose An'yu again when visiting the ancient city area.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in! The main purpose of a hotel is for sleeping, but this one fails miserably in that aspect, for several reasons: 1. Soundproofing: There's practically no soundproofing. Wooden doors and windows, no weatherstripping! You can hear someone coughing outside crystal clear inside the room! The window faces a public restroom, so you can hear every conversation clearly, even in the middle of the night! 2. Light coming through the door: The room door actually has a glass panel, covered by a white cloth, but light still leaks through it while sleeping at night! (See picture) 3. Room layout: The bed is visible as soon as you open the door, offering no privacy at all. (Normal hotels have the bathroom visible upon entry, not the bed directly). 4. Beam above the bed: The moment I lay down, I discovered a beam running directly from above my head to my feet! (See picture) 5. You can't drive to the hotel entrance! You have to walk 2-3 minutes in the open air to get to the hotel! It was pouring rain yesterday, and the driver wanted to drop me off at the hotel, but he was stopped outside the ancient town. I had to walk back to the hotel with an umbrella, and my clothes and pants were completely soaked! 6. The bathroom had a foul smell! I paid over 2300 for two nights and never expected such an expensive and terrible hotel! Don't tell me it's because it's an old house conversion. I just came from staying in a 100-year-old house in Shaxi, and it had none of these issues!
