Booked a six-night stay in a mountain-view villa for my family. The views were stunning, the rooms were spotless, the air was fresh, and the service was attentive. There were plenty of activities, and the airport transfers were perfectly on time. My whole family had an absolute blast! My favorite part was watching the little white geese and ducklings swimming freely in the lake 𓅿𓅹 – they were incredibly cute! In the early morning, you could also witness the magnificent 'Golden Mountain in the Sun' spectacle. Breakfast was delicious, especially the Ersi noodles, which were truly unforgettable. The staff were always warm and thoughtful, bringing us different special snacks every day, like rose cakes, roasted potatoes, and milk cheese… Each day brought a new surprise! My family also had a deep dive into traditional culture at the hotel, including the Naxi blessing ceremony, recycled paper making, and Dongba calligraphy and painting. It was both professional and fascinating! For those who love traditional culture, this is definitely not to be missed.

Nestled against the breathtaking backdrop of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, the resort seamlessly blends traditional Naxi architecture with luxurious comfort, offering a serene escape from the everyday hustle. What truly elevated my experience, however, was the exceptional service, most notably from Elin. From the moment I arrived, her warm hospitality made me feel incredibly welcome and valued. She handled all my queries with remarkable promptness, ensuring that every detail of my stay was seamless. Beyond her efficiency, Elin went above and beyond by providing invaluable travel advice. Her insider recommendations allowed me to navigate the local culture and scenery like seasoned travellers. Banyan Tree Lijiang is a stunning property with sumptuous treats, but it is dedicated and passionate staff like Elin who turn a great vacation into an unforgettable memory. I cannot thank her enough for her kindness and professionalism, ensuring that my needs are met and I am safe in a foreign land.

I chose this hotel because of the Banyan Tree brand, and it certainly didn't disappoint in terms of environment, facilities, service, and cleanliness. If you want to wake up to a stunning view of 'Golden Mountain bathed in sunlight' from your bed AND enjoy top-notch hotel service, then staying at Banyan Tree Shuhe is the way to go. The environment offers excellent privacy; upon entering, you're greeted by a private courtyard, with many spacious smaller courtyards and even a private pool. The views are incredible: you can see the snowy mountains from your bed, and at night, you can stargaze right from your private courtyard! It was such a pleasant surprise! I could spot the Big Dipper, Scorpio, Leo, Venus, Jupiter, and Gemini! The Big Dipper was huge and bright, hanging right overhead, thanks to minimal light pollution. Honestly, the photos on Ctrip don't do this place justice; they don't capture even a tenth of the beauty and ambiance of the Chinese garden. You really have to experience it for yourself!

I was very satisfied with this long-standing Lijiang hotel. It was much more comfortable than the hotels specifically for viewing the snow mountains, and the price was also lower. We came for our anniversary for two days, and Abby, our butler, arranged everything perfectly. The complimentary honeymoon cake was much more thoughtful and tasted better than those offered by many five or six-star hotels. We also received a bottle of red wine. In the evening, she even helped set up a foot bath in our room. The complimentary spa experience upon check-in was also great. It's a shame we couldn't stay for more days or for several consecutive nights. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit.

The environment is great, and the hotel's architecture is quite unique. You can see the snowy mountains right from the courtyard. The hotel offers travel photography services, and the photos turn out really well. The shooting and photo selection only took about 2 hours, and then we got the pictures. Thumbs up!

The location is nearby the ancient city, staff is friendly and with superb view. During our check-in, Abby Hu who helped to process our check-in made us felt welcome and even helped to upgrade our room without us asking. Elin Zhou from the concierge team was super helpful, always there to help with all the requests be it in the early morning or late night. Bravo to the Bayan Tree team!

Staying at the Banyan Tree Lijiang truly exceeded my expectations. I could see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain right from my courtyard, and waking up to watch the sunrise paint the golden peaks was absolutely priceless. The room had a wonderful Naxi authentic touch. A special shout-out to our butler, Elin [grinning face emoji], who was incredibly attentive from check-in to check-out, helping us arrange everything. The service was impeccable and never pretentious. If you're looking for a peaceful and ritualistic way to gaze at the snow-capped mountains and simply relax, this is the place to be.

The room was super spacious, perfect for a family of four. You can see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain right from the bed. The hotel's environment is beautiful, and the staff are very professional. Breakfast was excellent, especially the copper pot rice noodles!

The room offered excellent privacy, and having a constant temperature hot tub was very convenient. Staff were quick to respond to any requests, and our butler, Elin, was incredibly warm and attentive. The cold brew coffee at breakfast was delicious.

The hotel boasts stunning views, and the pool villa offers a fantastic vantage point to catch the sunrise. However, the cleanliness was just okay, and there were quite a few mosquitoes. The complimentary photo shoot was a nice touch; the photographer was great at getting us to pose naturally, and the photos turned out consistently good. Service was excellent.

Had a fantastic week-long vacation here. I didn't even want to leave the hotel! The service was excellent, the room was beautiful, clean, and hygienic. Breakfast was served until 10:30 AM, so even if you went late, there was still plenty to eat. Our butler, Elin Zhou, was very thoughtful and wonderful. All in all, it was great. I'll definitely be back next time!

I was so lucky to get an upgraded room! 1. The jacuzzi was the most delightful surprise; soaking in the open-air tub after a long day was incredibly therapeutic. 2. The room looked much better than the pictures on Ctrip. The photos gave off a somewhat dated, traditional Chinese vibe, but in reality, it was very grand and stylish. Lying in bed and watching the 'sun-kissed golden mountains' was absolutely beautiful! Plus, the shower area had floor heating, which was a lovely detail. It really shows the Banyan Tree's attention to detail. 3. The complimentary spa experience was incredibly comfortable, far superior to massages you'd find elsewhere. 4. The staff provided excellent service. The shuttle bus arrived quickly, and when it started raining, I had left my clothes drying in the courtyard but had gone out. A staff member quickly helped me bring them in!

Before my stay, the butler called ahead to inquire about my needs and meticulously noted my preferences, showcasing an incredible attention to detail. The 24-hour butler service was always on call and responded promptly and efficiently. The turn-down service was ceremonial; in addition to tidying up, they presented unique small gifts like Dongba script bookmarks. Occasionally, there were delightful surprises like rose milk foot soaks or coarse salt hot compresses, adding a wonderful touch of warmth. Whether I wanted to switch to a latex pillow, request express room service, or book a travel photoshoot or spa, I just had to contact the butler via WeChat, and every request was met with a response and promptly addressed, feeling as attentive and considerate as family.
