it was about 10 minutes walk from the north gate. best about it the staff will contact you for helping take the luggage because there’s a lot of stairs but all good ! and it easy to access the main road

I absolutely adored the ambiance of this small courtyard. Even if I didn't feel like going out to sightsee, just sitting on the rooftop, enjoying the cool breeze, was incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating. The courtyard's location was clear and easy to find, so there was no worry about getting lost, which made getting around super convenient. It's the perfect spot for a leisurely vacation.

Nice location, easy to everywhere ,for the price I paid for 3 nights 53 bucks , wouldn’t regret

The facilities were great, clean and jack and his staff were very hospitable. (Sorry about all our luggages) My favourite is the rooftop view of the old town with the swing 🥹🫶🏻 Thank you Jack, we hope your flowers grow well in your new garden bed ! All the best! - Family from Australia

We stayed here on 22 May 2026 for 2 people for 3 nights , and we had a wonderful experience in Lijiang Old Town. We had two very heavy suitcases, but it was not a problem at all. Jack, the owner, took very good care of us. He speaks English very well, which made everything much easier. We booked the hotel through Trip.com, and right after our payment was confirmed, Jack contacted us immediately. We stayed in touch through WeChat during the whole trip. On the first day, Jack helped us carry both of our heavy suitcases through the old town. He also gave us many useful recommendations. One of our suitcases was damaged during the trip, and he kindly suggested a place where we could buy a new one at a reasonable price. The room was beautiful and had a very authentic traditional Chinese old town feeling. We booked a large room, but we did not expect it to have a loft area and a tea corner inside the room. The night view from our room (Room A201) was absolutely amazing — we could see all the beautiful lights across the old town from the window. We were truly impressed. Jack also told us to visit the rooftop at night to enjoy the rooftop view and city lights of Lijiang Old Town. Unfortunately, we only had time to go there on our last night, and we really wish we had gone earlier. The room was very comfortable, the weather was nice, and there was free tea to enjoy. Housekeeping cleaned the room every day. The bathroom had a hot water system, and we especially loved the strong water pressure. When it was time to check out, we informed Jack in advance that we had to leave very early in the morning to catch our train to Shangri-La. Once again, our heavy luggage was never a problem. Jack was still willing to help us carry both suitcases all the way to the nearest road where we could wait for our DiDi. We truly appreciated his kindness and support throughout our stay We are very thankful to Jack for making our vacation so perfect and memorable. We would definitely love to come back again in the future.

Had the best stay in Lijiang Old Town here at Huang Garden Inn! No regrets at all, would book this again when I go to Lijiang. The owners/staff speak english and I have been pestering them everyday asking all sorts of recommendations on local places 🤣 They were genuinely helpful and really go out of their way to help you. They also have free laundry and the Inn has a roof top with great views!! 5/5 Stars from me no negative experiences here at all.

Jack and all the staff were extremely kind and helpful, especially with carrying our luggage and providing great hospitality throughout our stay. I truly enjoyed all the facilities and services provided. I will definitely come back to this hotel again in the future!

The owner Mr Jack is really very good person and speak english well. Its become very easy to us to travel lijiang..he take care us very well and guide us with smile face. Those travelling without no chinese language knowledge this is perfect place. Pro - very near to bus station - very near to all ancient city streets - inside ancient town - very clean and spacious - friendly - washing machine available - can have view of city from rooftop

The best service ever from the owner of the hotel. He and his staff had carried the bags from the junction to the hotel. The owner is very kind and helpful. In any inquiry he can give the answer directly and fast. I got an opportunity to take the picture with the owner, Mr. Jack. Mr.Jack, you are awesome!!!

Great location, great service, able to speak english. Got our room upgraded for free. Despite us being noisy they still treat us nicely 🥹 a well preserved building and have rooftop. We even got to use the washing machine for free.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a generally positive experience. The location is very convenient with easy access to nearby attractions, restaurants and transportation options, which made getting around simple. The check-in process was smooth and efficient and the staff were polite and helpful throughout my stay. One thing I especially appreciated was the assistance with luggage from the north gate, the staff were quick to help carry my luggage, which made arrival much easier and more welcoming. My room was clean, comfortable and well-maintained with all the basic amenities I needed. The bed was especially comfortable which made a big difference after long days out.

the owner is very good, he helped me to carry my luggage to the hotel and give clear instruction to check in. he allowed me for early check in without any additional charge. he also give me a suggestion for halal food. the hotel is very near to many halal food and near to the ancient city. will repeat again stay in this hotel in future. thank you for good hospitality
