Zhiyu Youth Hostel (Lijiang Ancient City)

Good mattress, good clean areas including toilets. Mostly Chinese who are friendly and often provide fruits to eat. Good common areas and laundry available. Also appreciate that people do silently look out for others eg bringing clothes under cover when it starts raining. Location slightly away from old town but close to local areas which in my opinion is better

Loved my stay here! It had a very friendly, family vibe. Was mostly Chinese except for a Belgian guy but they made me feel very welcome and took me out for bbq one night. Then the next day we went out to a village in the mountains for another bbq lol. Ended up staying a couple extra days in Lijiang just because I enjoyed staying at this hostel. Would recommend!

I enjoyed my stay here so much I ended up booking an extra night. It was just a relaxing and homely place to be. The living area was also good for talking to fellow guests. Ancient town was just around the corner, as well as plenty of bike sharing options. The hostel had its own bikes though, so that was a big bonus!

Amazing place, the price is very good Good location, helpful stuff They gave me watermelon everyday and helped booking the bus to the Tiger leaping gorge, even walked with me in the morning to make sure i know where does it go from Everyday is super clean and the rooms are very cozy, i stayed at the 6 bed female dorm A very good stay

At first I was a little skeptical because of the low price. This place was a nice surprise. The staff are lovely and attentive, and they have good English. They always offered me fruits, which is so cute. The pole holding the curtain over my bed fell apart, and they fixed it right away. The hostel is a little bit far away from the old town (about 10 minutes walk), but I actually liked the location. It's quiet, and surrounded by good cheap, restaurants. There is also a convinience store nearby. The facilities are pretty good. There is always hot water and the toilet is clean.
