Mulanyu Tangsu Hotel

First when we arrived, the owner welcomed us warmly with some tea. Then he proposed to move us from our original bedroom because it was located near the strairs and he feared we would have too much noise. He allowed us to charge electronic devices and leave our luggage in his office while we were out, and even accompanied us to the nearest road, to take our heavy bag for us. So really excellent service, i have never seen that. We finally chose the original bedroom next to the stairs because we liked it more, and we slept very well, we didn't have any problem with the noise. The bed was sooo comfortable, the bedroom very clean and spatious. The hotel is in the old town so we do everything by walk in the beautiful streets, it is very charming. There are souvenir shops nearby, and restaurants also, you can get there with just 5 to 10 min walking. Really fantastic hotel, we recommend it a lot without any doubt.

The view from the room was very nice right in the ancient city. Just know you need to contact the hotel first to know which location you can arrive by taxi so they can help you bring a trolley to carry your suitcases in the difficult paths of the ancient city. Otherwise you will need to go through a lot of stairs

The place is amazing, clean, beautiful. It is at the perfect location. Also they helped me with information about the city, the best spots, also with some reservations of buses and trips! They have the cutest dog also! ❤️

Beware this hotel is practicing “bait & switch”: They are using their good rating to attract guests and take them to other hotels in the area. In my case, I was taken to the Dong Po Liv Inn, which is not a bad hotel but it has lower rating and it was definitely not what I had signed up for.

Genuinely really enjoyed our stay at Mulanyu Tangsu Hotel. The owner is very easy to communicate with, very nice and very welcoming to the guests. He would invite guests for a tea. He also had a very friendly dog that will greet you at the entrance and occasionally a ragdoll. Really love the small fury friends at the courtyard. The location is a bit on the mountainous side but you can easily navigate your way back. There's a route with a lot of stairs, there's also a route with less stairs. You gotta explore your way to see which route you prefer the best. The owner would help to carry your luggage to and from the hotel so don't need to worry about it. Regarding the room, it is very spacious i would say. The room was quiet, very spacious and equipped with a lot amenities such hair a refrigerator underneath the sink, clothing rack and hangers, closet and TV for each queen sized bed, hair dryer, water heater, toiletries, bottled waters, slippers, AC and standing fan inside the room. You can do your own laundry if you want to. They have washing machine downstairs but no dryer. You can easily asked for more hangers to hang your laundry. The room is very sunny in the morning so your laundry will dry quickly. Cleaning aunty will come in daily to throw the garbage, refill bottled water and toilet rolls. The hotel location is not exactly at the hotspot area, you might need to walk for 5 minutes to reach the hotspot area which is perfect for us because the hotel was not noisy at night. We had a very quiet and peaceful rest at night. Overall, we were having a very pleasant experience staying at this hotel. Highly recommend.

The owner is very nice. He will contact you the day before your arrival and send instruction on how to get there. He welcome us with Pu'er tea and ensure we stay comfortably. It's very hard to find toilet with bidet in China. But here the toilet has bidet 😀. Although you need to walk to the Inn, you don't have to carry your luggage. He will arrange and handle your luggage during check in and check out. If you have problem and do not feel shy to ask him. He will help. From food online ordering because I have issue with ******* apps. He also has washing machine and you can use do your laundry. His warmth make us enjoy more our stay in Lijiang.

I really enjoyed my stay here! The receptionist, Xu Fei, was very kind and helpful, and the staff did a good job as well. The amenities were amazing and surprisingly high-tech, which made the stay even more comfortable. The location is also very strategic, right inside the Ancient Town. Overall, a superb stay and definitely a place I’d recommend!
