A truly beautiful place to stay. We were welcomed by Ben as we got out of the car and with the Personal touch of greeting us by our names. Ben showed us to our room which had everything we needed. Not only a coffee machine but a hot water machine for tea aswell, complimentary soft drinks and fresh milk located just outside our room. The beds were very comfortable and a spacious wet room with a lovely hot shower and large white fluffy towels. On the ground level which opened onto a private patio with a beautiful view. A TV that you can also login to Netflix etc if you so desire. We could use the cosy snug if we didn’t want to stay in our room and we’re able to walk through the dining area to the bar for a night cap. Breakfast has such much choice and is of a very high standard, you are asked what time you would like it and are not rushed at all, infact Cody offered us more toast and coffee after we’d finished and couldn’t possibly fit in anything else, you will certainly leave with a full tummy! Upon leaving you are given a goody bag of water, fruit and biscuits for your journey ahead. The personal touches from Ben and Cody make this not just a place to stay but a place where you are made to feel like part of the family. Time spent chatting with you and finding out about the area and most interestingly why they named the rooms they have, ask them, we learnt something new! Ben and Cody have certainly done their homework with adding in the extra special touches that make this not just a B&B but a little Gem of a place where you are made to feel very welcome and if I were to stay in the area again I would not even bother to look at booking anywhere else. Thank you to you both for you kind hospitality and I wish you every success for the future.

Excellent service, the owners make you feel at home straight away, it’s like staying with family. The room was lovely and the breakfast was perfect. From coming out to meet us when we arrived to our thoughtful goody bag when we left, we were made to feel at home. Thank you Ben and Cody for such a welcoming stay.

I stayed here with a friend whilst doing a short walking trip around Avebury, for which it is ideally suited. Whilst waiting for my companion to arrive, I was greeted like an old friend and felt extremely welcome from the outset. Ben and Cody are extremely kind and generous hosts, and the accommodation is superb. The service was attentive but refreshingly friendly and informal, and we experienced many small but kind personal touches, such as a little goody bag each to see us on our way. The door from the accommodation to the New Inn was very convenient, and the beer and food was excellent quality - the choice and standard of the breakfast was superb. I'm always torn giving reviews to places this good as this, as I don't want to share them with anyone else! - however, to be frank, you'll struggle to find anywhere with a warmer welcome. Thank you, Ben and Cody.

Ben and Coady proved excellent hosts - from warmly welcoming us to sending us on our way with a goody bag of snacks and water! They run the combined Elderbrook House and the New Inn pub in a very friendly, kind and efficient manner.Nothing seems too much trouble to them. Our Pratchett bedroom was spacious and the en-suite bathroom enormous with its freestanding roll top bath and walk-in shower. And lovely views of a green field with birds of prey! Large warm towels and coffee and tea-making machines added to our sense of cosy comfort. Fresh milk is freely available from a fridge. Our Sunday roast was packed with fresh ingredients including a variety of well-cooked vegetables - and a delicious treacle pudding. Very good value. The New Inn is a friendly village pub enjoyed by local regulars and visitors like us. The Winterbourne Monkton village location is perfect for Avebury’s amazing Neolithic stone circles and Silbury Hill - just a short drive or a longer walk away. Ben kindly provided us with a walking route to Windmill Hill’s ancient historical site - and we followed it this morning to the letter on byways and through fields clumping over November mud (bring your walking boots). On return we enjoyed a perfectly cooked Full English Breakfast (black pudding included for me) and a varied range of fresh fruit. Thank you, Ben and Coady - and Maia the friendly dog - you run a special place. Highly recommended. Excellent. (Reviewed by Meenu and Paul).

We were looking for an overnight stay for us and our 2 springer spaniels to break a longer journey, and this was a great find. Our room was large and comfortable with patio doors onto the garden. Lovely comfy bed, wet/shower room, and tea & coffee. Cody & Ben were fantastic hosts, and made us feel really welcome. Dinner in the bar was great, and Ben even rustled up an extra burger for one of our dogs who was poorly and off of her food. Fabulous full English breakfast the next morning and a thoughtful takeaway bag of water and snacks made this a fantastic start to our week away.

Called at The New Inn en route from Somerset to Malmesbury hoping to get a bite to eat. They were serving Sunday Lunch which we ordered and it was fantastic! The veg was cooked to perfection, the roasties were amazing and the meat was beautifully tender. Had a nice chat with the landlord and wife later and they were very friendly, as were the locals sitting nearby which we also chatted to and discovered some interesting things about the local area. Ordered dessert too, which was amazing! I only wish I lived closer as it would definitely be my local! I also took my dogs in and they were greeted by staff and locals too! Top Place! Heartily recommend!

Came across this pub by pure chance. Whilst the decor and furniture in the bar is basic, the staff/ proprietors are very welcoming. The food was great especially the marmalade and whiskey bread and butter pudding........😋

Lovely friendly b and b adjoining an inn. Very comfortable, clean room, complementary drinks and wonderful breakfast. Also had an excellent evening meal in the bar. Very convenient for Avebury. Very dog friendly, we had a downstairs room which had patio doors direct to the garden. Only stayed 2 nights but hope to return.

We stayed at Elderbrook House while we were visiting Avebury historical sites. What an ideal stay we had. From the initial communication when booking, to the welcoming arrival, the beautiful family suite, amazingly delicious fresh selection of breakfasts..we literally had the best stay ever. Cody, Ben and family were the perfect hosts, welcoming and friendly..their furry friend Maia was the best welcome party you could ask for. Peaceful, comfortable and excellent value. Highly recommended and we would definitely stay again. Many thanks Paul, Kelly and Ruby*.
