MYRIAD by SANA Hotels

Nice view, nice area. Great staff that speaks many languages and honestly good service

As an avid hotel reviewer it pains me to write this but it was really a Hit or miss for us unfortunately. We had arrived and stayed one night this week prior to our flight. The welcome was good, there was a staff who was under training and was doing very well. Though when we went to our room, the automatic curtains were not working. Staff reassured us it would be fixed. No one ever came. Having contacted them on what’s app previously, I tried again but no one never responded.  The room itself was not 5star. There was mold spots in the shower (see photos). Wine stains on the carpet. Unacceptable. Attempts to also contact staff through what’s app were ignored. Ironically too since they were messaging consistently days prior to our arrival.  Everything else though was top notch.  The spa pool and sauna were great. Clean.  The views overlooking the water was amazing.  Such a high rise building. Freaky but awesome.  Breakfast was delicious. Buffet bar had a huge variety and selection of hot and cold options.  Service was slow at 7am though. No waiter asked if we wanted water or another coffee.  Maybe if we had upgraded we would have been treated better? Not sure. Surprised that they have not addressed this even in check out they said it was strange that no one came to the room to check in on us or offer something. He didn’t address it either mind you.  When I compare this to Art Legacy or the Sana in downtown, huge difference we experience related to what five star should be.  So it has potential but not a good experience for us.

Overall ok. The hotel is located near the sea. Very nice but far from city centre. The housekeeping keeps missing things esp floor mat.

This is not my first time staying at Myriad by SANA. I have always considered myself a loyal guest, and every time I visit Lisbon, this hotel has been my first choice. Unfortunately, this time the experience was extremely disappointing. The overall standard has dropped significantly. The room service and housekeeping were very poor, and the room did not feel clean at all. Honestly, it felt more like a two-star hotel rather than a five-star hotel. Before arriving in Lisbon, I had already requested a room with two separate beds. However, upon check-in, I was initially given a room for one person. When I raised the issue, the handling from the reception team was disappointing, and their attitude was not what I expected from a hotel of this level. Even after changing the room, there were many issues. The water had already been opened/drunk from, several bathroom amenities were missing, and the room itself was not properly cleaned. I am truly shocked by the level this hotel has reached, especially because it has always been my go-to hotel and my first choice whenever I travel to Portugal. This stay was a very bad experience, and I left extremely disappointed.
