This hotel is in an excellent location on a very popular street that leads to ocean views. Despite it being in this area, my room was surprisingly very quiet. Service is nice and friendly.
The only downside was that when taking the shower I had to be careful because the hot water was way too hot and required constant adjustments to stay at a good temperature.

This hotel is extremely convenient and close to two metro stations. It is important for travelers that are looking to travel with public transportation. Also it is close to shopping streets, restaurants and a super market. It feels safe to stay here too.

The hotel's location is great, close to public transport, including the metro and the famous Tram 28, and also near major attractions. It was very clean, my only complaint was the lack of disposable slippers, but everything else was excellent. The service was very thoughtful; we were originally scheduled to check in at 3 PM, but when we wanted to drop off our bags in the morning, they allowed us to check into our room immediately.

The breakfast is delicious!
The balcony is so comfortable!
The kindergarten downstairs is full of youth!
The location is close to Liberty Avenue, just ten minutes walk there!
It is so comfortable to bask in the sun on the balcony, drink coffee and watch the children in the kindergarten downstairs

The security situation was not too bad, and it was very clean.
There was a bus stop right in front, and the location was very good.
Cleaning was done every day, and the beds, toilets, and bathrooms were all perfectly cleaned.
We were also grateful to receive 1 liter of water for free every day.
The only thing that bothered me was that the walls were thin, so there was noise coming from all over the place.

First and foremost, the room is really nice but the hotel got to carry out serious review on its service standard. After travelling to so many countries and staying in so many hotels, this is the first time I encountered that a hotel that doesn’t loan an umbrella to its guests on rainy days. Next, we were given welcome drinks which we had them, sitting in the hotel lobby which is next to the bar counter. Guess what, a staff came over and rudely told us that “we are NOT ALLOWED” to sit here and consume the welcome drink and have to do that at the bar counter”……yes, NOT ALLOWED are the exact words used. Well, I am convinced that I will not recommend this hotel to anyone and neither would I stay in this hotel again.

I spent a 5 nights at My Story Rossio and here are some of my thoughts:
PROS:
- Excellent location. Hard to beat this prime location. It's at the heart of the city with lots of things to do in proximity. There's also a Metro station across from it so you can take the subway directly from the airport.
- Nice decors and overall pretty clean.
CONS:
- The biggest issue I had during my stay was the poor structure of the building leading to disturbing loud noises. During housekeeping hours, the door to the cleaning supplies kept being slammed. Every time it was slammed, my whole room shook and I jumped up. I called the front desk asking if they could be more gentle with the doors. I was told that that was the way housekeeping was and to call back only if it still happened after 5pm (after housekeeping hours). It was impossible to get any rest during the day. I understand that housekeepers need to do their job but I wonder if this issue could be fixed simply by changing the door hinge to a slow close hinge. Also, in the middle of the night, I would wake up by the creaking noises of people above me when they walked across the room.
- Second issue was the thermostat. It was not adjustable and could only be controlled by the front desk. For some reason, the hotel decided that all the rooms needed to be in heating mode during the night. It was so hot and stuffy that I was not able to sleep for many nights. I had to call the front desk in the middle of the night to turn it off but sometimes it would automatically switch back on. Then I requested to have the cooling instead of heating on but it would be too cold at night and there was no way to dial it myself. So throughout my stay, it would feel like being inside either a sauna or a freezer.

Breakfast is served between 7:30 and 10:00, and breakfast like Europe can be eaten as it is. It was close to the subway, and there were supermarkets, shops and restaurants around, so I didn't have any trouble even if I wanted something. You can walk to the famous places in Lisbon, and I think it will be a good base for tourists.

Booked a superior double room for 4 nights. I would not say it was good value for money - meaning overpriced.
Pros:
The location is great, very central. The guesthouse is sandwiched between a shoe store. The sign is very small and hard to find it.
The services are good. The staff checking us in gave quite some touring tips. The room is clean. All staff were polite.
The bathroom is spacious.
Cons:
The superior room we booked are no where near the photos shown on the booking website. The room is equipped with very basic furniture. The wardrobe looks like an old fireplace with No shelves to put clothing on.
Neutral: the breakfast had a big variety. But the tapas looked stale and bread was stone hard to cut with the knife. Egg tarts and cakes were delicious
Overall, it was overpriced for the room we booked. A guesthouse room with a 4 star hotel price.

The location is incredibly convenient, being very close to both the metro and various bus lines. There's a great selection of restaurants and small supermarkets nearby. It's also super easy to get to the main landmark square, which is a hub for many tourist attractions. The photos illustrate the convenience of the surrounding streets.
Service was excellent and very attentive, and the front desk staff were all very friendly. The area feels safe, even at night; returning late after weekend outings felt completely secure, a big plus being that the Lisbon metro operates late into the evening.

Amazing
GGuest UserVery good hotel. The service staff are enthusiastic, and the view of the river view room is nothing to say. Although the hotel is old, it is not out of date in maintenance. Most of the guests staying there are older European and American guests. It is suitable for relaxing and enjoying the scenery in the hotel, and feeling at peace with the world. It's not as crowded as the old town, and it's more convenient to take a taxi to the main attractions. It doesn't have the atmosphere of being an internet celebrity, so it may not be suitable for those who like to be lively and take pictures. Children especially like it.

FFanqieningmengjuzichengCOverall, it is quite good. Friends who book must pay attention to contacting the hotel's private message in advance, and the hotel's message in advance needs to be replied. If you arrive after 9 pm, you need to go to the front desk of the designated location (3 minutes walk) to check in.
Location: The hotel is in the old town, close to the attractions, it is not easy to find the location at the beginning of the night, there are a lot of uphill, if the suitcase is a bit tired
Breakfast: rich and varied, you can choose, very good
Hygiene: OK

KKCheongThe check-in and check-out process was very smooth and efficient. Frontdesk also assisted with request for additional washing detergent. Location is good, accessible to restaurants and supermarket. Opposite the Parliament and the famed Portugese Fado singer house. A little far to walk though to the city centre but doable, 20-30mins. Other option is tram or bus.

JJ DINIS ANDRADEThe apartment is very well located. Close to Jardim da Estrela. Although there's no parking on the street, there are plenty of nearby (paid) parking.
Early check-in is recommended to save time upon arrival. Although it was difficult to pay the tourist tax, it was resolved by phone.
Well-equipped, spacious, and quiet apartment.
Would definitely stay again.
