Holiday Inn Express LITANG by IHG Reviews

We stayed here in July during the horse festival. The hotel was clean and staff were friendly, but there were some significant issues. The shower only had hot water during the afternoon because they relied on a solar hot water heater. The shower did not drain properly. They did not have coffee or even tea at breakfast. The windows were low quality and the room was quite noisy from traffic. The lobby smelled of toxic paint or some kind of epoxy. It was very strong and intense. When we used the heating system , that smell ended up in our room! When we visit again, we will choose another hotel.

Rooms were very large and comfortable. Junior Suite probably not worth the money though, regular rooms are quite large.

Always good to stay in holiday inn Litang.

Holiday Inn Express is always the top choice! The biggest highlight is definitely the breakfast, and the rooms are much larger than other Holiday Inn Express locations. The service is also good; I'm very satisfied with everything. Here are some scenic photos.

This hotel... the space is ridiculously large, and the rooms are huge... why is it so big? 😂 The facilities and service are very good, but unfortunately there's construction outside, making it inconvenient to get in and out.

First time staying in a room with diffused oxygen supply, slept very well all night. During the holiday, guesthouses along the Genie route cost several hundred yuan, so this was a good value for money. The breakfast, especially the steamed buns, was a bit disappointing; they could have replaced them with local buckwheat pancakes or something similar. Also, the coffee machine was broken.

Overall, I was satisfied with the new hotel. Most of it was new, but some older parts were quite poor and lacked many essential hotel amenities, making it difficult to give a proper evaluation. My accommodation was in the back building, which is separate from the front building. The front building mainly only has the reception and restaurant; it's not for living. To have breakfast, you need to go to the first floor, then walk to the front building, and finally up to the third floor. The room has an oxygen concentrator; I recommend turning it on. The oxygen production is very slow, and it was still slowly increasing the next morning. It's a mixed bag of a hotel. The road outside was under construction and looked like a ruin, a stark contrast to the Batang County town I'd visited the day before. The interior was very good. Because it's a new hotel, the rooms are all new and spacious. The shower drain wasn't covered, and the towels weren't rolled up properly; cleanliness was poor. I found three short hairs on the sheets, so I asked the front desk to replace them. The new sheets also had hairs, so I gave up on that. The bath towels were even worse. The first towel had three very long hairs inside, while the second towel was better, with only one hair about 15cm long. The floor was clean, so I didn't wear slippers. The parking lot was in the back building, and it was terrible—tiny and cramped. It made me think I was staying in a one-star hotel. All the cars were crammed together; you could drive in, but whether you'd get blocked out was another question. The worst check-in experience I've seen here: the front desk gave me room 8609, but when I went in, I found it was an unfinished room, completely uninhabitable.

There was roadwork in front of the hotel, so parking was limited, but there seemed to be a parking lot in the back. The Holiday Inn Express rooms were quite large and had diffused oxygen supply (very important in Litang!). The hotel was quiet and comfortable, and the bedding and breakfast were good. There were oxygen inhalation devices in the lobby for a fee. Overall, the experience exceeded the average level of Holiday Inn Express hotels. By the way, Litang Old Town is definitely worth exploring; it's a beautiful "sky city." You can get oxygen pillows filled at pharmacies in Litang.

A very good hotel; the bedding was comfortable and the place was clean.

We just stayed there the day before yesterday, and after returning from Genie, we chose to stay at the Holiday Inn again. My child said it felt like coming home, and everything was so familiar. Overall, a great experience!

Located at an altitude of around 4,000 meters, the oxygen supply equipment was a plus. The breakfast was plentiful and free, which was very satisfying. I recommend staying in Building 2; the rooms are spacious, the facilities are new, and the stay was pleasant. The daily cleaning service was also very helpful.

The bedside table was broken. There was practically no oxygen in the room. There were no charging cables either. The sofa was dirty. Breakfast was almost entirely cold. There wasn't much food to eat. This stay at this hotel completely shattered my perception of the Holiday Inn Express international brand.

My last visit to Litang was 10 years ago. Aside from the small street in front of the county government building, which still looks familiar, the county town has developed quite well and is completely different. During my trip in August, the town was undergoing road repairs, with digging everywhere. Parking was difficult in front of the hotel; I could only park in front of the administrative building across the street. Although the hotel is near the road, the rooms further inside were quite quiet, allowing for a good night's sleep even at high altitude. The breakfast was relatively poor. Now that transportation is more convenient, improving logistics and supplies would probably make it more appealing. Another small suggestion: please make smoking prohibited in the common areas of the building. Otherwise, I didn't dare open the room door because the smell was too strong.
