Candlewood Suites WEST LITTLE ROCK by IHG

The general location was decent, quick access to the highway and surrounding businesses. However, that was about it. The staff acted like they didn’t care if you were there or not. The whole hotel smelled like sweat and week old microwaved food. The room was ice cold when walking in and the ac unit only worked on cold. It would bang like a 6 year old with their first drum set in any other setting. The floor was warped and uneven in places. The show water pressure was weaker than a garden gnome watering daisies. The pillows had “soft” and “firm” marked on the cases but this was obviously just for show as there were flatter than a day old IHOP pancake. The sheets had whole seems that were open. The ice maker in the fridge dropped about three cubes per hour. Overall, for a “suite” I’m pretty sure the Motel 6 next door would have been better!

The rooms have lots of damages and patches, the chairs are worn and dirty, the walls and ceiling has packages, the air system is very uncomfortable and frustrating as it’s suppose to be energy efficient but it cuts on and off so much. The elevators were dirty. The cigarette and smoke area is so close to the front door. People hanging outside their cars, a man outside sitting on ledge sidewalk for hours appearing under the influence rocking back and forth. The property was nice years ago but has fallen off drastically.

The room was ok the bed was very comfortable it does needs to be upgraded the furniture is out of date; the staff was very polite and friendly I did have one issue that I addressed with the front guess about the cleaning in the bathroom the toilet was not clean the door needed to be whipped down and there was hair in the shower wall

The staff was okay,but the room was lacking! There was a wet smell of mildew that hit my nose as soon as I entered the room, there were stains on one of the beds, a roach on the floor, bugs in the icemaker, the beds didn’t feel Queen sized more like twins, the tv was tiny with limited channels. It was overall a lackluster experience and stay. I’ve had previous good stays with candlewood suites but this stay made me want to choose a different brand as my go-to stay. I would not recommend this location to anyone! Also the fact that the deposit was raised from $50 to $100 with no prior notice and the only explanation given at check in was “someone messed it up for everyone.” Nothing about that stay warranted a $100 deposit.

We will be back Hotel is the best value for anything near the medical centers. Clean and pleasant. Good bed, great showers. No breakfast, so take of the saved money and get a good one nearby. Be sure to get a room that faces the front of the property. The roar of the highway on the backside is continuous.

Very close to the highway which is a plus and a minus. Room had a workable kitchen, room was comfortable. Hallways smelled like a hotel but room was clean and no smell.

The staff was very accommodating especially Thi! Our A/C went out, we immediately reported it and a member of staff immediately came to access the situation and jumped into action and offered us another room.
