Another great stay with Cath at Llangollen. Great landlady, great breakfast and lovely,clean room[room 4] . Recommended.

Very warm welcome from the host. In fact everything about our host was quite overpowering! It's not really a complaint but we found it all a bit intense. Our room was comfortable although a bit noisy from road traffic at times. Earplugs were provided - a good idea. Plenty of tea, coffee & even hot chocolate. And biscuits. The plumbing was explained & it did gurgle a fair bit, but we found the toilet a bit smelly at times & quite unpleasant. Good quality towels. Free parking. Breakfast was a little disappointing. Good mix of cereals for those who like them, natural yogurt, but only whole satsumas & bananas, no fruit salad, etc. Orders for cooked food were asked for the monent we sat down & I'd barely finished my yogurt before the cooked plate arrived. It was ok, but lacked flavour & my tomatoes had barely seen any heat & were certainly not cooked. Toast came with barely enough marmalade for 1 slice, let alone 6!

Lovely place in a brilliant location. Nothing we didn't like, very clean and slept well. Breakfast was very good and staff were very helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend

What a gem of a place! Attentive & welcoming host, beautiful clean, single room, comfortable bed, massive bathroom, great shower, lots of tea & coffee, even some sweets & biscuits. Breakfast was lovely & fresh. Close to the centre, loved my stay.

Great hotel to stay in. Cath and her team are excellent hosts. Very friendly and welcoming. Very knowledgable about the area and gave us great recommendations on where to go to eat in the evenings and we werent dissappointed! Would deffinately stay again.

Staying with Cath and her team at a beautiful Llangollen location, was home comfort, with old Welsh comfort .Breakfast was tasty as, eggs to perfection. The beds are clean and very comfortable, with all mod cons, for communcationsThis is a must and its near all activities that Llangollen offers. Aqueducts in walking distances as well as the canals, steam train, white water rafting, and most important dozens of old style pubs.

My husband and I stayed at Cambrian House, Llangollen, for 3 nights beginning of March 2025 with Kath and her team. From the moment we manoeuvred our car into the parking lot we were greeted and felt welcomed. Being able to leave the car behind and move about on foot was a treat. We were shown to our double room with window to the back of the house which was very quiet and cozy. It had everything we needed, from a good-sized bed to a neat little bathroom with shower. Tea and coffee making facilities plus biscuits gave it a very nice touch. The breakfast was all we could hope for: cereals and fruit and warm breakfast with everything you wanted in the amount you wanted, too. We did long walks during the day all on that breakfast! Kath and her team really made us feel as part of the family - we’d love to stay there again anytime. The walks to and around Llangollen are very interesting and we all had a laugh the next morning at how many times we managed to get lost (never a problem as we could always have called on Kath to help and all the people of Llangollen are very tourist-friendly). The hotel itself is rather small, especially the stairwell to the rooms on the first and second floor, and it has a historic flair to it. You can still imagine the horse carriages stopping there and their drivers having a beer. This is the charm of the place. If you are looking for something big with cool modern architecture, the Cambrian is not the place for you.

Just stayed at Cambrian House, Llangollen with Kath and her team. From the moment we walked through the front door we were made very welcome indeed. Our double room with lovely - very clean, lovely kingsize bed, tea and coffee making facilities etc. Just perfect for our overnight stay. The breakfast was delicious and served to us by really lovely members of Kath's team. Everyone was so friendly. Kath caters for coeliacs which is great. I have dietary requirements myself which were catered for without any fuss and bother. We were able to leave our car on the car park and walk for the few minutes into Llangollen. I would highly recommend staying here. The location is perfect. Kath is very friendly and made our stay really lovely. Thank you Kath and the team. Keep up the good work.
