White Waters Country Hotel

Do not under any circumstances stay at this so called hotel!! So many things wrong with it that I'm struggling on where to start. It is so run down with crumbling damp rooms wallpaper peeling off the wall electrics exposed rotten floorboards cracked and broken bathroom floor tiles and that's just a few of the problems. The smell cannisters be conveyed through the phone but suffice to say it was quite pungent! We left after seeing the room

Absolute dump wallpaper hanging off walls cracks in bathroom the whole place stinks of old damp curtains from the 70’s woken by creaking floorboards noise room above no bar no food said free breakfast toast croissant!!! Will not return

We booked room for 2 nights break. Hotel is now during renovation time but still I can't complain. Very nice staff and lovely receptionist. Area around it's absolutely beautiful. Special thanks to amazing Dave who were very helpful and very very nice. I hope to come back there when renovating will be finished ❤️

Be sure to read the LATEST reviews on here. Ignore the older reviews. This hotel is undergoing serious improvements having been closed since COVID. The rooms are ok, comfortable enough for a night or two but there is NO bar, NO restaurant, NO crockery and NO cutlery. Luckily we took our own mugs and breakfast items. The photos on the website are rather misleading featuring the previous incarnation of this hotel. Having said this, we had a comfortable stay, with a view over the river to the castle. There are only a few rooms completed so hopefully you'll get a good one. There is a spa, but we didn't get round to using it. Plunge pool and steam room. Lots of towels and changing facilities but no poolside furniture. The outside decking areas are in a poor state but with views over the river Dee. Overall, a bit disappointing.

Ok, this is a tough one to review depending on what you want from your stay. If you want a bed for the night, nice views in the morning at a good price for 2 nights max then it ticks the boxes. However, if you want a drink and food and expecting everything to be modern and stylish then (and everything open) this is NOT the place for you (at the moment anyway). Hotel is clearly being refurbished and has works going on (although only during the day) We wanted a bed for the night in a clean room, hassle free check in with free parking and it delivered. So 4 stars from me but if you want the full Hotel experience then look elsewhere. Didn't use the spa. We ate at the wild pheasant down the road which was lovely.

Had a lovely overnight stay for my birthday. Yes the hotel is currently having lots of work done but the room was clean, bed comfortable, and everyone made us feel so welcome. Currently no bar or food but that didn't bother us. Stunning views from the outside terris and only a short walk into Llangollan. Turn right out of the hotel and find a lovely walk up to horseshoe falls. Would definitely return

Very run down. Don’t stay in the bunk room- beds are very noisy when children turn over. Everyone was up most of the night. Lift not working. Smelled of damp. Air fresheners seemed to be on every window. Lady in reception was very helpful sorting the lock on the room door and getting towels, coffee/tea things, kettle and tv which were all missing from the room.

Avoid, no sign of renovation. Very disappointing. Very tired hotel, no facilities for food or drink, paper cups in rooms. No actual working shower, but stacks of bowls and buckets in the bathroom?
