Aqua Hotel Bertran Park

Couldn’t fault this hotel in anyway. Staff were lovely, Room was lovely and all in all just a great experience! We managed to get to the hotel from our transfer in under 10 minutes, despite the other reviews complaining about the map. Use google maps you will get there so much quicker. A good selection of food (although we only had breakfast and dinner) there’s something for everyone. Staff were lovely and so helpful. We arrived very late and yet felt welcome the moment we walked in. Rooms were gorgeous, very modern and clean. Great shower, and also provided with toiletries. Plenty of clothes storage. Shops, supermarkets and restaurants close by. Pool area was stunning. Places to sit around the pool and terrace. Beach is a 10 minute walk which was lovely to sit on. We went into Barcelona for the day on the bus and had no faults with getting there. Don’t pay any notice to the other reviews this hotel was incredible! Nothing to complain about.

The staff were so welcoming, gracious and helpful. We were late for the check out because of a misunderstanding and the receptionist handled it very well. The room service was readily available. The breakfast was very good with lots of variety. Aqua hotell has a perfect location close to the beach, the bus station, the city life and lots of food places including a supermarket. The decoration inside the hotell is very beautiful and good value overall for the money.

Stayed here for a week with in-laws in May and at first impression was great! However, that soon turned to disappointed when I saw the size of the pool, the pool area and the amount of sun beds for the amount of guests that were there. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, but the restaurant staff were very rude and at times made you feel like being half board was a burden to them. They only liked us when we ordered drinks that we had to pay for. No such thing as free water either, which I’m sure is illegal in Spain. Also the 2hrs for breakfast and dinner at the only restaurant in the hotel for all the guests was ridiculous. It made it very busy and then you felt rushed. They would take your plates literally in seconds after you finished. I’d seriously increase it to at least 3hrs to allow all guests time to enjoy their meals. Which brings me to the next point, the hot buffet meals weren’t exciting nor enjoyable as some meats weren’t even cooked properly. The pork dishes especially were undercooked. Nothing special to say other than the salad bar was good but then you can’t go wrong with that. Breakfast was pretty much the same every day and nothing special, although finding Brussels sprouts, spring rolls or vegetables with your sausages was a bit odd. The rooms were of a reasonable standard, nice shower, not enough power points, and the ones next to the television were at the wrong angle. Tv had Netflix and other apps but never worked. Noise from other rooms, corridors and outside was an issue most evenings. So not much sound proofing. No tea, coffee facilities. Cleaner did do a great job at cleaning and providing clean towels etc. but the 1pm cleaning time was a bit too late. No lovely views out on the balcony only the rear entrance of shops and bars. The drinks from the bar were lovely but sometimes a bit slow in coming to your table so you had to go to the bar. Unfortunately no evening entertainment nor atmosphere so never stayed too long. Had room service once and ordered banana milkshakes and that was freshly made and delicious. (Probably cause we had to pay) On our last day whilst waiting for our coach to arrive, the children (3 of them) and the adults stayed in the bar and had drinks, whilst playing pool. This was around 3/4pm and when one of the children potted a ball naturally we all cheered and the bar man told us off for being too loud! It’s ironic considering the amount of noise the other guests were making late at night or early hours of the morning. Not sure what they would have done if the football was on?! So I don’t think it warrants a 4 star and I definitely think some improvements need to made to retrieve that. I wouldn’t return or recommend as I’m not sure what type of guests they’re trying to accommodate.

I have just returned from spending a week at the Aqua Bertran Hotel in Lloret de Mar. In my group there were 6 adults, 3 children (aged 10, 12 and 13) This is a very nice hotel! I would have liked to give it 5 out of 5. Unfortunately i haven't and my reasons being, i don't feel it's a great hotel for children. The pool is quite small and deep therefore not suitable for young children that aren't confident in the water. The pool area is also very small and as we know children like to splash and i don't think it would have gone down too well with any guest that were sunbathing around the pool. For these reasons my children didn't use the pool. The food again not much variety for children. There were chips every night (thankfully as this was the only thing my son would eat) So for these reasons i have given it a 4 out of 5. Overall the hotel is lovely and clean! The cleaners do a great job. We had clean towels everyday. Our bins were emptied everyday and they topped up the toilet rolls everyday. The rooms also have air conditioning that you can control the temperature (which was a plus for us) The beds are definitely the most comfortable i have slept in! Better than my own bed at home. The staff were friendly enough. We were told to keep the noise down once when the children were playing pool near the bar. We cheared when they won. Again, another reason i feel not great for kids, kids can and do make noise. We're not a noisy family as my son, who has autism, doesnt like noise but we repected the hotel and no more chearing happened. The rooms were spacious and we were lucky to have a small balcony. The view wasn't great but we wasn't planning on spending that much time in the room so wasnt really a problem for us. I will say there were quite a bit of noise coming from the room above and below us through the night. Sounded like furniture being moved around early hours in the morning. The walls could definitely benefit from sound proofing as you can hear the kettle boiling in the next room. We stayed half board and the food was delicious! Like i said not great choices for children but for adults there was a meat and fish choice every night, there were cold meats and cheeses, salads, rice, pasta also a variety of desserts (not all of them tasty but enough choices) The location was great! Not to far from all shops and bus station. Would i return? Not with children but definitely if it was just me and my husband. I can't comment on any other facilities the hotel had to offer as i didn't feel the need to use them. I believe there was a gym (seperate building to what we stayed in) so not sure what else was in there but i doubt i would have had use for them. One thing i think would go a long way is water with the evening meal. One night we were all given a glass of water and not charged. Then another night we were charged €8.40 for 4 bottles of water. All being said we had a lovely week there.

The hotel and the facilities it offers are actually quite good for the price paid. Nice lobby and bar area. We had multiple rooms and found some to be better than others even though they were the same style. Note if your in a party it could be you a separated as the hotel is spread across the walkway. The cleaners did a good job and provided plenty of towels. The downsides, at night the noise due to the location can be loud as the pavement outside sees lots of use as a cut through. I would argue it would put me off staying if we didn’t go out at night. The issues we found was general rude staff and an intolerance to us from the minute we arrived with check in taking over half an hour and us having to find someone to check us in. Then on numerous occasions at night when arriving back from coming out we were told in a trhreataning manner not to make noise, we felt the staff should maybe be told the tone at which they speak to customers with needs to be improved. The same as the pool we had visited the shops before going to the pool (sunbeds are awful and uncomfortable). Upon returning without warning we were accosted by the bar staff saying and pointing Rudely at us to take our bags away even though we had gone to the bar to buy drinks. ( a water €4 euros another joke) I understand they will have challenging guests and as a group we may laugh more etc but the judgement we felt were received was unjust. To the point we tried to avoid reception or asking for help.

Great hotel all round - location is good just a short walk from the front and main resort area. We were half board and the food was excellent. On top of this the staff are amazing - so friendly and helpful always going the extra mile. We had an early flight and they even opened up the breakfast room and laid us out a breakfast each before we left Will 100% be back

Hotel was clean and beds were comfortable, shower was ok. The food was good there was a good selection at the evening buffet and also at breakfast, drinks aren’t included in the evening meal and ordering drinks took a long time and a number of times I had to queue whilst paying for my drink. Some toiletries were included in the room and air con was good. I could hear a lot of outside noise from my room at night. I felt like there wasn’t much storage space for clothes so that could be improved! I had an issue with my TV, I saw there were apps such as Netflix and Amazon prime but couldn’t connect to the wi-fi to use the apps so was very disappointed as there weren’t many English channels, why have these apps on the TV’s if they can’t be used? The location of the hotel was good and wasn’t far from the bus station. Overall this was a very average stay but the main highlights were the cleanliness of the hotel and the food, I’d like to say that Leo on reception was very helpful and helped me to book trips/ gave me information on buses and answered any questions I had so thanks :) I would stay again but maybe the TV apps could be improved!

Fabulous hotel, clean and smart. The staff and the service was great. Everything you need is on the doorstep with just a short pleasant walk to the beach. I am already looking to book my next break with the family. Will definitely return, hopefully this year.

Stayed here with my daughter 13 th Oct 2023. Nice staff nice facilitys. Room was nice and very clean. Great location. Lovely bar and plenty of choice for breakfast. Lovely pool area and outside terrace. Parking area for a fee and other carparks near by
