Traveling to this region for Humanitarian work at Kakuma - stayed one night prior to an early flight. Only ten minutes from the airport. At first disconcerting navigating to the hotel - the bitumen road quickly turns to dirt and dust. Arrival is welcoming into beautiful gardens, and staff who were very attentive and friendly. We had an apartment style each with own locked rooms. TV and lounge plus kitchen and dining. Rooms clean fresh & well set up. Mosquito nets on each bed, large shower/toilet. The grounds are so tropical and green which is such a pleasure after all the dust. Restaurant manager was excellent - with us setting breakfast menu the night before due to our early flight. The restaurant menu was extensive with a few items not available. The chefs were very adaptable and cooked delicious fresh food. The large open breezy space we also used to work in the afternoon which many people did as the gardens are just so beautiful. Internet was adequate but slow - created a small glitch with using a credit card - so used cash. Always worth carrying Kenyan shillings and USD$. Other people staying were working for NGO's as well
