This was a nice hostel that was very welcoming. It’s fairly close to the city center and about an 12 minute walk to the Big Ben.

Absolutely exceptional! For guests, the pub is actually open 24 hours. You can order pizza and possibly other foods too at anytime - for instance...3am should you be feeling peckish 😅. The staff were great. Very friendly. Very professional. Indeed, everything was superb including a little backyard courtyard with heaters, and with the location being adjacent to the Imperial War Museum, numerous lime bicycles and nearby bus stops and Lambeth North underground - the overall rating can only be upwards of 5 stars.

The bathroom reeks of urine even after supposed cleaning efforts. The bedroom feels like an inferno, forcing me to crank up a noisy fan at 4 am, regardless of the annoyance it causes others in the room.
Now, let's talk about the check-in disaster. The staff, clearly clueless and seemingly new, took ages to do anything meaningful. In the middle of a pub-like chaos, he demanded my ID, only to play pretend with scanning it. After staring at him doing absolutely nothing for what felt like an eternity, I had to ask, "Have you found my name?" His response? Utter confusion and repetitive questioning.
Sure, he eventually mumbled some sorry excuse, but my patience had already evaporated. Here's a tip for next time: no matter how green you are, act like a professional.
