Its proximity to the British Museum is its main selling point, practically right next door. If visiting the British Museum is your top priority, this place is a prime choice. The room was a bit cramped, and the overall size of the hostel isn't large, with shared bathrooms and showers. It was a decent first hostel experience.

The location is excellent, right next to the British Museum, just a 2-minute walk away. It's also a 15-minute walk from the tube station after arriving from the airport. The room is small but very clean, and the bedding is fresh. Each bed has a metal frame underneath for luggage storage, but you'll need to bring your own lock. There's a hairdryer, but it's quite noisy. The shared bathrooms and showers are very small, with no space to put clothes. You'll need to bring your own bag to store your items. The kitchen is in the basement, where you can cook your own meals, and there are plenty of free condiments available.

Beyond the great location, with many places within walking distance, there's absolutely nothing good about this place. It's the worst I've ever stayed in. 🫠 1. I was on the 4th floor but had to climb 5 flights of stairs, which were incredibly high and narrow. No one helped with my luggage; it was a disaster. 2. Every day, after being exhausted from exploring, climbing those 5 flights was pure agony. 3. I wanted to change places by the second day, but it wasn't cheap – around 55 euros a night for a bed in an 8-person dorm. 4. On the third night, I smelled an incredibly strong foot odor (maybe foreigners don't shower at night?). The person upstairs kept going to the bathroom, and my bed shook all night long. 🫨 5. No air conditioning meant it was boiling hot. There were only two large electric fans, which hummed loudly all night, making it impossible to sleep. I kept waking up from the heat. 🥵 6. On the fourth night, someone threw up in the middle of the night, and with the fan blowing, I could smell the vomit. I almost fainted. 😰 7. The common area is tiny and always occupied. 8. To borrow a hairdryer, there were no outlets in the 4th-floor bathroom, so I had to go all the way to the 2nd floor. 🙄 9. The toilets/showers were relatively clean. 10. The outside was under renovation, and one day I saw workers painting and chatting right outside my window. Ultimately: I have no idea where all the good reviews come from!

Good vibes. Lots of social activities and nice staff. Kitchen good size. Pretty clean except when sharing toilets with men they don’t know how to flush.

Pretty good, I'll definitely come back next time. The only issue is that there's no elevator, so people with a lot of luggage should be aware of that. Anyway, everything else was great.

Terrible service! I accidentally booked the wrong date through the system. Within minutes of realizing my mistake, I immediately requested a cancellation and contacted Trip.com customer service to process it. I also left a message for the hotel directly through the platform, hoping they would cancel the order. Despite all this, the vendor ignored my requests and forcibly kept my incorrect reservation. Honestly, this is a really bad way to do business! Even if it were a ticket booking for an attraction, I would have a 24-hour refund right. This was a mistake I caught within minutes of placing the order (which wouldn't have affected the seller's ability to sell the room at all). Yet, they still forced me to go through with this completely wrong booking!!!

Nice location. It was calm and quite last night. But, I did not like to stay at 42. It’s the top floor 😄

Great value, friendly staff. The sleep experience really depends on your bunkmate's schedule; even slight movements on the lower bunk feel like a tornado on the top bunk. The four-person female dorm is near the British Museum, so there's frequent traffic, and it's extremely poorly soundproofed. All dorms share a communal bathroom.

Everything was good and the staff were friendly. It was generally clean. The location was quite close to some important spots.

I was in for a bit of a surprise when I arrived to check in for this one in that place that I was staying was not the Building that I thought it was. I was given a slip of paper with instructions on how to find a second building, which was about a five minute walk away the second Building only had bedrooms there was no common room and no kitchen so in order to use those facilities you had to go back to the first building. Having said that this Building was well equipped it was clean and tidy. There was good toilet and shower facilities and the bedrooms were clean. I didn't have any of the food at the hostel as I was going out to meet somebody else for breakfast, but it did look okay

First time experience hostel on my solo trip! Staff were really nice, the location is so good! But the thing is I don’t know they have 2 separate building. So I have to check in at one and then walk to another.. a bit hard if your luggage is heavy. But it’s good overall!
