Premier Inn London City (Aldgate) Reviews

This hotel is located in East London, not far from Aldgate East station on the District Line, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. It's truly a rare find to get such a reasonably priced hotel that perfectly accommodates a family of four. Highly recommend!

We had a great 3-night stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, with many sights within walking distance (15-20 minutes). There's a supermarket and restaurants just around the corner, making it a perfect base for exploring. Most importantly, it was incredibly quiet, which was important to us. For the price, we honestly expected less, so we were pleasantly surprised. Rima, one of the hotel staff, was extremely accommodating and friendly, going above and beyond to fulfill our extra requests. Our pillows were a bit too high, and she went to great lengths to find us flatter ones. She was also very thoughtful and attentive regarding my lactose intolerance at breakfast. We didn't expect such service; she was simply wonderful. The only drawback is that the windows in the rooms don't open, not even for tilting. It would have been great to air out the room properly and let in some fresh air. There's a ventilation system, but I'm not sure if it only circulates the indoor air or also brings in outside air. However, for a 3-day stay, this wasn't a major issue. We'd happily come back.

The location is very good. It is very easy for,us to go anywhere on foot, to take buses or go to the train stations. There is a restaurant downstairs, that is good for guests who need convience. nearby are many bars and eateries offering various dishes.

Great Stay, great location!

I booked a double room for me and my granddaughter when I got to our room. There was only one large double bed in a very large double room 407. There was no sofa in there. I asked at the desk if they had a room with two bed or a sofa bed. I was told there was nothing available. I told by the staff on duty that there should be a sofa in there. I believe this was a room set up for disabled customers. I was told by the person on duty that I could have a quilt and two pillows and sleep on the floor. When I looked at the quilt on the bed, I was very stained. We then had an alarm go off at 3.47am, which was a false alarm. When I asked at the desk what the issue with the alarm, i was told they were not sure. A very poor stay this time. Normally a very good stay there. In most of your premier Inn hotels. Ps very disappointed.

The staffs are always very busy maybe short of Staff.

Fantastic hotel! I’d highly recommend

The service was good however the dining room and bar had distracting music which spoilt the experience. The meals we had were somewhat over cooked. The breakfast was good and the coffee machine worked well. Enjoyed the two for one cocktails at the bar. However we were disappointed that the desk lamp and the mirrored make up light did not work in our room. There was no designated shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom so had to use the liquid soap and no box of tissues, only the toilet paper The TV had a faulty remote so it took a long time to turn the TV on and then turn it off. Bed was comfortable and room nice and quiet through the night. Perhaps the superior rooms would have been more suitable on the 5th floor?

A pretty decent hotel with a great location, about a 7-minute walk from Aldgate tube station. We checked in late, around 2 a.m., and when we arrived, the doors were locked. It took us a while to figure out what to do. Just call the intercom, and a girl will come out of the back room and check you in. One downside for me personally: the lack of USB chargers (this isn't the first time I've seen this in London; all the hotels and even apartments had chargers). At the same hotel near the airport, there were USB ports in the room, but this one didn't, so I had to find an adapter. The breakfast buffet wasn't very varied; I'd even say it was a bit meager. There weren't many vegetables (mushrooms and tomatoes), no cheese, and the only fruit was apples, bananas, and tangerines. The coffee was a bit bitter. If you're staying more than one day, you'll need to remind reception about cleaning. The card reader for the third elevator was broken for two days, and it was always on the first floor.

The location is excellent, very close to the subway station, and the surrounding environment is very safe, which is really important. It's also very quiet, and there are many restaurants and supermarkets nearby, making it very convenient. The room was standard. I've always loved Premier Inn's bedding; it's great for a good night's sleep. A top choice for personal business trips and travel.

Excellent location, very good breakfast. My only complaints are that only one receptionist speaks Spanish, they don't clean your room unless you specifically request it, and there are few closets, but the beds are super comfortable.

Great hotel for the price. Simple but clean rooms. Very little outside noise, so we slept wonderfully.

Facilities: General business hotel, not many free services, the network is very slow, need to buy extra, don't want to spend money, just use the data on your phone without connecting to the hotel's network Hygiene: The room is very clean, if you need to tidy up the room, you need to inform the front desk, the hotel will not come to the room for cleaning every day Environment: The overall environment is OK, close to the subway station, there are 3 supermarkets nearby, there are also food, quite convenient Service: There are many people staying, the front desk is very busy, answer all questions but don't talk much, breakfast time 8 to 10 o'clock this period is very crowded, it took about 20 minutes to arrange a seat, be prepared, overall still satisfactory.

The room was spacious and in a good location, within walking distance of Chinatown and the University of Manchester area. The mattresses were comfortable.
