The worst time was in room 128. It was so noisy that I couldn't sleep at all. The service attitude was poor. I asked for a room transfer and was told that it was fully occupied. Just one sentence: I can’t do anything for you now.

Booked a 1.5 twin room, 3 people live with the child, the room is clean and tidy, and it is considered spacious. The hotel is a little far from the subway, 8 minutes walk, the neighborhood of the hotel feels like a wealthy Turk area, the law and order is very good, in the city center, 8 minutes away from Hyde Park, it is also very convenient to go to the scenic spots by subway. Eat nearby, mainly high-end restaurants in some hotels, and some restaurants on the roadside, which are not bad. Hotel room rate is expensive, but in line with four-star standards.

So I was so hesitant to book my stay at this hotel after reading the reviews, however I decided to proceed and take the experience. Honestly it wasn’t that bad but let me start with the facts: - Yes the hotel needs renovation , and after my visit I now understand why they don’t want to do it: simply the demand is so high due to the location and the occupancy rate is high so they don’t want to lose business if people are still willing to stay at the hotel in such condition. - Yes, there’s a problem in their A/C system, it’s too old and doesn’t work well, but this problem is in some rooms only not all the rooms and when I complained about it they moved me to another room which didn’t have this problem. - The location is great. - The hotel doesn’t have a lounge, it’s only one restaurant that is used for everything. My 3 stars are due to: - one start for the helpful staff who are doing their best but have to deal with problems and issues that are out of their control (renovation, maintenance, …etc) - The amazing breakfast buffet and the restaurant team - The location In summary, my experience was not as bad as I got from the reviews

Booked a room for 3 adults with a king size bed and a sofa bed for a night away with girlfriends. First room we were given was not the room I booked. We were told our actual room would be ready later. I asked them to make sure the sofa bed was made up. We got back to the hotel at 10.45pm shattered only to find the sofa bed was not made up. Called reception but no one came up so had to call a second time and eventually 2 men came up and literally threw the bedding on. It was so badly made we had to re-make it. Then we realised the very stuffy room had no working air-conditioning. I called down again they came up with a fan and said they knew it didn’t work. Also one of the bedside lifts didn’t work either nor did the usb ports. They offered us a smaller room which wasn’t suitable and weren’t even willing to refund any money in the room. The attitude of staff is not great. I would definitely not recommend this hotel I have stayed in better Premier Inns at a fraction of the price. I’m a travel agent so will be feeding this back to my company.

The Marriott Hotel Marble Arch has obviously seen better days. it's on a quiet street and conveniently located to buses and the tube. The heating system did not operate and so the hotel preferred to use an electric space heater. I didn't check to see if the air con worked. The staff was very helpful and brought extra blankets when I complained about the lack of heat. They also tried to cleanup the trash right next to my window so i wouldn't have to look at them every day. Shower and tub had mold and mildew, but I figured that was what you get as a Bonvoy patron for 340GBP/night.
