This hostel is probably one of the more famous ones in London, known for its excellent facilities, but it was honestly the most disappointing hostel I stayed in during my ten days in the UK. First, the location: You can walk to two nearby tube stations in about 10 minutes, and a bus stop in about 5 minutes. Since I was usually out early and back late, the location was fine. Plus, you can walk to Tower Bridge, and it's convenient for catching trains from London Bridge. Facilities: This is where I have the most complaints. The bathroom doors are old and make a lot of noise when opening and closing. After an overnight flight, having to make my own bed was really uncomfortable. The mattress felt like foam – not breathable and very hot. Most importantly, the hostel has no air conditioning, and the windows in the room can only open a tiny crack, so it gets incredibly, incredibly hot. Although each bed has a small fan, they were covered in dust. By my third day, my throat started to get sore, and I wonder if it was a respiratory infection caused by the dirty fan. Maybe it would be okay in winter, but in summer, it's truly a hellhole. Kitchen: The hygiene wasn't maintained well. The microwave was dirty, and after a day of use, the kitchen developed a foul smell. This place is more suitable for people who want to socialize, party, and don't have high expectations for facilities. The price during my booking was also very high, around ¥500 per night, making it very poor value for money.

The hostel provided a small fan which does not help much in the extreme hot weather. The fan fixed at the end of the bed was full of dust. Suggest hostel to clean them so that it will be cooler and healthier.

This hostel is pretty good. It's within a 10-minute walk of two different Tube lines, and right next to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge, making transportation really convenient. I booked an all-female 6-bed dorm, and the privacy was excellent. There's a separate door that requires a key card, so I felt very safe. There's a kitchen on the basement level. I'd recommend buying groceries from a nearby supermarket to make your own breakfast or bringing instant noodles, as the hostel's breakfast selection is quite limited – they don't even have eggs. The self-catering kitchen is a great perk for those who prefer to cook their own meals. Being so close to the Tube, it can get a bit noisy at night, but after a long day of sightseeing, I was usually so tired I slept soundly anyway. For anyone visiting London looking for an affordable and convenient place to stay, this is a great choice and very clean.

Everything was perfect, i wish there was a closer bus or underground station because walking with my suitcase was not easy, otherwise the location is not that bad, i only spent one night but i would prefer again

Great for solo travelers! The room was clean, tidy, and well-equipped. You can even cook your own meals, and there's a bar to relax at in the evenings. The subway station is just a ten-minute walk away.

Location is good, near the Tower Bridge and Tower Hill Station. I like the ensuite bathroom, which is cleaner and shared among roommates within the room only. The privacy curtain is good for some privacy. There’s also locker available in the room to keep your stuff. The fan attached to the bed is very dusty and can be quite loud if turned on to the max. The room is also pretty dusty, but overall comfortable place to stay. There’s a bar at the basement and also a cafe at near the lobby. Many common areas to hang around at. Also good to meet new people as there are many people staying here.
