Astor Victoria Hostel

Overall, a very good experience which is the same as I've had with the whole chain of these hostels in London. Check in was very easy, remember to take ID with you and it has to be an official government ID. Once you've done that at reception who were very friendly, you will receive your key and instructions on how to get through the front door. Connecting to the Wi-Fi was very easy as there was no password. The whole place was very clean and I was lucky enough to be in a room of five beds but only two occupied so it was a very quiet evening. They do have rules about quiet time and there was very little disturbance in the hostel which meant I got a good night sleep. The room had a sink in it. Plenty of shelves and plenty of electric to connect phones to charge or laptops depending on what you had with you. The breakfast was very reasonably priced and looked pretty good though I did not have any as I was meeting somebody outside of the hostel for breakfast. I would also say that there were plenty of toilets and showers which were clean and presentable.

Good experience in staying at the Hostel. I enjoy cooking food in the spacious kitchen. The staff are nice and helpful. The room is tidy.

The one specific room I was in, even though I got lucky and was alone in a 5 bed room, had so much noise I couldn't sleep until 3ish am and got woken up at 5am again because of the noise. You can basically hear people coming and going from other rooms in the level above and under. I could hear everything they do in the level above when they walk and even snore and the window couldn't shut 100% so u can hear the noise from outside and even when it rattled from the wind. It was very annoying as i am a person sensitive to noise. Also it doesn't help that people coming and going on the stairs were loud as well. I didn't eat food here but I probably wouldn't book it again.

Decent hostel, nothing to complain about. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly. It is indeed not the most modern hostel but acceptable for its price. Good location too near victoria station.

For the price that I paid, I have no complaints for the hostel. The staff were excellent and most importantly the place is generally clean. I have no issues with the toilets and shower area. The place is walkable to Victoria station and good if you are resting before you head off to the airport. There is a large supermarket nearby for your groceries as well. Kitchen is very clean too.

Super poor hygiene for the washrooms, showers and kitchen. Saw water dirt covered inside the kettle, very gross. The beds had no curtain and it wasn’t really comfortable, didn’t get any sleep due to at least 3 dudes snoring like crazy at night… There was also no elevator so you have to climb up tiny stairs. Overall the building just looks super old and dirty inside. Don’t think they really clean it.

only here for a night’s sleep so it does the job, looks old and a bit shady from the outside but decently clean inside. can be a bit noisy early in the morning if your room is facing the street.
