I was underwhelmed, after being quite impressed by the images when I booked. The room was a little tired (buckled carpet and a dining table that looked like a craft project). The beds were clean and comfortable, but that’s about it. The room looked into an internal courtyard (which was an indoor room) so you didn’t get much in the way of natural light, although the courtyard room had a skylight. It was a bit sad to look out. Parking was a hassle. You have to pay to park across the street (you pay $20 which they told me was a $10 savings) but you have to drive around 5 city blocks to get to it because of the one way streets. There were restaurants nearby, but also abandoned buildings and homeless. All a little sad, really.

We had a great experience at Hotel Metro. It is clean and well appointed. Parking was a little difficult to find, but the hotel provided a helpful map.

The hotel is lovely- rooms are big.
But the parking in the Green P underground parking lot as a women travelling alone wasn't good. I got to the hotel around 11pm (was hard to find the entrance in the one way insanity!) And had to drive around the block and then to the underground public parking garage. The area is so dodgy at night. I felt very unsafe.
Its a shame as the hotel seems lovely. The rooms are very clean.
The parking issue would put me off staying there again

The hotel was great, just a big put off when we checked in and I ask if there was overnight street parking and was told there are “so many homeless people and your car would probably get broken into. Bad enough that you may fall on hard times and end up homeless, but now you’re a criminal too!!!! Turns out the parking lot was belonging to the hotel, and they charge $20 a night. I opted for the street parking, no issues. Turns out the Metro hotel charged me for the parking anyways! I was told it will be reimbursed- but still waiting.
