Oxford Hotel

I was really worried after reading some reviews, but the hotel was lovely! Very central in a really good location. It was a 2 minute walk from the tube. It had Tesco express, boots, pubs, cafes and shops right opposite. It was cleaned everyday. The room was lovely! Had everything you needed. Perfect place to stay for a couple getaway to London.

We are extremely disappointed in this hotel and how they state that you can book the hotel room and can cancel if needed! This is such a big scam! We accidentally booked for a few days on the wrong dates and tried reaching out to cancel the booking and reschedule for another date, not only did they not respond they did not pick up our calls and now we are disputing this with our bank! This is one of the worst hotel experience we have had! We have traveled extensively all over the world and never encountered such a situation! Do not attempt to make any booking at this hotel. They are unresponsive and will leave you hanging, I definitely am not going to stay at this hotel as I believe if there is an issue they will not respond nor take care of the guest. Do yourself a favor and go for another hotel. If the hotel responds back I will update my review.

They are crooks. Note they intersperse free cancellation with non-cancellable rooms. Got duped into making a non cancellable room 7 months out. 2 minutes after making this mistake called the hotel .. did not pick up phones cannot reach anyone. Now they will not cancel. BEWARE OF THEIR DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING TO SNARE YOU!! i fell for it and once they get you they will play hard ball. Nasty people

Hotel and the room itself were really nice. Couldn’t fault it apart from the fact that the flooring is all made of wood (nothing wrong with wood) which means we could hear all the noise from outstairs. There were noise of like furniture being moved at around 10 pm and went on for a good 30 mins until we fell asleep due to tiredness. Woke up very early nex day to catch the sunrise and went back to the hotel to sleep for a bit before check out. Again, noise from upstairs. This was at 930 am. The cleaners were clearly cleaning the rooms. We just couldn’t go back to sleep anymore with all the noise.

We were on a 5 day holiday in London and chose this hotel because the one we usually stay at is under renovation. We didn't regret it! Our room could have been a bit bigger, but it was nice and clean with a nice size bathroom and everything else you need. A suggestion could perhaps be to get some hooks up behind the door, and also out in the bathroom, as there is only a single towel rail, but these are small things! Our biggest challenge was getting two smaller duvets instead of a big one to share. It was a bit tricky, as the cleaners changed it every day, and when they finally succeeded, one of us had to sleep with a duvet without a cover. It went well enough, but next time it will hopefully go a little better ;) All in all we were super happy with our stay! We were especially excited about the breakfast! It was so delicious, and a large selection of both hot and cold. Thank you very much for really good service when we needed help. We are already looking forward to the next time! Newly updated. Very small room, but lovely bathroom/shower. I couldn't find the hotel at first, because the online site called it the Oxford, but there was no sign outside that said Oxford. It must have been bought by the Merit-Kensington recently. Thankfully, one of the staff were on the steps and I asked if they knew where the Oxford was.

3 minutes walk from Earls Court tube station, so really handy for getting around. It seems the hotel has just been recently refurbished so is immaculate with quality fixtures and fittings. Highly recommended.

The hotel has a very good location (less than five minutes from Earl's Court Underground, Boots, Nando's, restaurants, Starbucks etc). The rooms are definitely clean. The service is almost non-existent (no one to greet you at the door, no one to help you with your bags, or even offer), so expect to do everything yourself. I was given a room in a basement down super tiny, thin stairs with no offer to help with luggage (which given how thin the stairs were, was quite tricky to get up and down). It just felt really random and low-rent to be given a room completely separate from the main hotel building. As for the room itself, it was minuscule. You could barely sit comfortably at the desk or have your bags properly laid out. It actually felt like a first class cabin in an airplane, not a hotel room that you pay hundreds of dollars a night for. The location and cleanness were both great, but it was so claustrophobic in the room that you had no desire to spend any time in it at all. Again, for what you're paying you would expect much more.
