I stayed 3 nights at Thistle London Holborn and had a wonderful experience. The location is excellent — close to Covent Garden, the British Museum, and great transport links. The room was comfortable and clean, with everything I needed. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. A very convenient and welcoming base for exploring London — would happily stay here again.

The hotel was fine and in a great location. The only down side really was a lack of amenities and the shower was freezing cold this morning in room 602. Breakfast was good however and friendly staff.

Great location, was able to walk to shopping areas (20 mins) , some nice restaurants and pubs close by. Staff friendly and helpful. Would recommend The Thistle as a place to stay in London.

Hotel was conveniently located outside a bus stop with buses going to Oxford Circus, SOHO, Chinatown etc. Area is relatively safe. Hotel-wise not the best for a four star. Definitely can improve on service and cleanliness. Probably also time for a refurbishment of furniture and white appliances. AC was making weird noises the entire time of the stay, shower door wasn’t working, surfaces weren’t not clean (we used a wet wipe right after housekeeping and it was so filthy - yucks!). Oh and the room only comes with shower gel and shampoo in terms of amenities (unlike the long list it states in description).

Hotel is located at SOHO of London with many shooters nearby, such as Primark, Sainsbury's, MacDonald, Burger king and etc. If you make your choice with breakfast at hotel, it is a fantastic English breakfast with full variety of tea, drinks and fruits. I would strongly recommend to include the breakfast in your hotel booking as it is very worthy when you have your breakfast outside.

The room was great and the location was convenient. At 1200 per night, including breakfast, it's excellent value for money.

Arrived at hotel and had booked executive room with sofa bed. Enter room and no sofa bed. I called reception and they shared that sofa beds are not in all executive rooms. However, I specifically booked executive room with sofa bed. They then came with an extra bed. The safe in the room had an error, called someone, they said maintenance finish work at 4:30 so they can’t come until tomorrow. Went to the bar, no signs anywhere saying card payment only. Order, the server didn’t share on order card payment only. Go to pay in cash - exact money and this was refused. No acknowledgment that we were not informed at all with no signs. Server and manager were laughing at us, shared he would have to stop me from leaving if I paid cash. The staff need serious training, a let down to the whole experience. I understand that card may be more secure, but so is a working safe in a room where staff can access. Avoid.

The room is quite small, so make sure to check the size, but the location is truly excellent.

The shower temperature was hard to control, but everything else was good.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and gave feedback on day of arrival and again on the second day that the towel rail cannot be heated up but the matter remained unresolved on the day we departed. There was complimentary bottled spring water in the room on day of arrival. However, unlike all hotels where bottled water are replenished everyday, this hotel does not. Toiletries such as tooth paste, tooth brush and body lotion are also not provided. There was only one small bottle of shower gel and one small bottle of shampoo with conditioner provided throughout our stay. As we had booked the room for 3 pax over 4 nights, we had expected the housekeeping to top up the supplies when they cleaned the room but to our disappointment, there was no replenishment and we had to call the reception to request for topping up. Location wise, this hotel is within close proximity to The British Museum, a short stroll to Covent Garden and Chinatown and there are many eateries within 5 min walking distance.

A really great hotel, very close to the British Museum, and the breakfast was excellent. The front desk service was also very good. Apart from the room being a bit small, we were quite satisfied.
