This hotel is great, highly recommended!
The location is fantastic, just over a hundred meters from the subway exit, and very close to Big Ben – a five to six-minute walk to the Thames River, with Big Ben right across. The National Gallery and British Museum are also just a 10-15 minute bus or subway ride away. What's more, the neighborhood feels safe, even at night. You need to swipe your card to enter the hotel after 8 PM, which provides a lot of peace of mind.
Right outside the hotel, there's a coffee shop where you can grab coffee and pastries. Next door, there's a small supermarket where you can buy water, groceries, and meat to cook back at the hotel. The room comes equipped with an induction hob, range hood, dishwasher, and microwave, so you can cook your own meals, which saves a lot of money in the UK. There are also public washing machines and tumble dryers on the second basement floor. Laundry detergent costs £1.50, and the dryer is £6, so it's a good idea to bring your own laundry pods. Being able to do laundry on a long trip is such a luxury; you can pack so many fewer clothes.
The room itself is quite spacious; opening two suitcases flat is no problem at all. The only thing that needs improvement is the water pressure in the shower – it's quite weak, making for an unsatisfactory shower experience. Also, check-in isn't until 3 PM, but you can store your luggage for free if you arrive early. Hotels in the UK don't clean every day; this hotel only cleaned on the third day of my stay, and bottled water isn't provided. Aside from these minor points, everything else is perfectly fine, and it offers excellent value for money!
