In Derry to visit my friend's 93 year old dad in hospital. Due to bank holiday had difficulty getting accommodation then discovered the Five Oaks! Cannot fault this place - it is beautiful, comfortable and very welcoming.....like a home from home! Monica and Adrian made us feel very welcome and the breakfast was excellent. Good quality produce and nice fresh fruit every morning. We had a twin room which had a shower room ensuite. Room was very comfortable with good quality bedding - nice duvets and pillows. Slept very well every night. Tea, coffee and chilled bottled water was freely available on the landing. The location is very quiet and peaceful and A6 is easily accessible for Derry trips. Monica and Adrian were very knowledgeable about where to go and what to see - and gave good tips on shortest routes etc. Would definitely recommend and hope to go back again soon. We spent two nights with Monica and Adrian and they couldn’t have been more welcoming!!! The house is lovely and the garden charming!! Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. And breakfast was delicious, too. Monica had great suggestions for food and for touring Derry. You won’t regret your stay here!
