Ping'an Yijiaren Hostel

Great value for money. The room is large and clean, and the bed is comfortable. The hotel is well located in a local area of Ping'An, close to Qixing Banyue Sightseeing Platform and restaurants. The hotel address isn't correct on Trip, so we contacted the owner and clarified the location on wechat/weixin, which translates text to English.

Really difficult to find (even with the pictures other users provided). I tried contacting the hostel so they could help me get to the place but it took a long time for them to respond. When I got there the place was completely deserted. I texted them to ask about check-in and they said that they weren't there and would come back later and that I should just pick a room (when they finally found my booking). I would have at least liked a heads-up via email with self check-in instructions, etc. The overall vibe was weird so I left again without spending the night there.

Initially hard to find using apple maps. Contacted the owner who through wechat and translate sent the location but we had to have her father to collect us by foot on the main street, we were 2 minutes away but it's a windy collection of stone steps and alleyways. Stayed in a double room, clean and tidy. Good strong shower and hot water and effective WiFi and air con. Easy access to main viewing points situated between the 2 main look outs. Be prepared to climb steps and wear good footwear as slippery when wet. Hotel offers breakfast lunch and dinner. We opted for breakfast which we requested the night before. Large bowl of chicken Noodle soup for 15 yuan. Great to start the day.

amazing stay and super cozy!

Great stay close to the entrance (6 min walk) and close to the viewpoint seven star (15 min all the way up). Room very clean

The name of the hostel is One Family, and that is exactly what you will get here, since the second day I found myself sitting at the table with the whole family running the place feeling sort of part of this family. On top of that, the owner is part of the local minority living in Ping'ancun, so culturally it doesn't get more authentic than this! But what I truly want to stress is the kindness and helpfulness of the owner's son (whose name I unfortunately have forgotten). He gave me a lot of interesting insights about the history and culture of Ping'ancun, which was truly fascinating. In addition, he gave me advice about my travels, and, ultimately, I would follow his tips seeing some of the most outstanding places in China. So, if you need info and tips about a China travel itinerary, you are also at a good place here. Lastly, the room was like being in a hut on top of a mountain. Surely not as luxurious as other hotels in the area, yet again if you look for something authentic, go here.
