This hotel is in a great location in Downtown LA. From LAX, I took the FlyAway bus ($12.75) and then two subway stops ($1.75, flat fare) to Pershing Square, and it was just across the street. There's a paid outdoor parking lot opposite the hotel (I don't recommend renting a car in LA – traffic can be bad, parking is expensive, and California gas prices are high, around $2/liter. Public transport is only $1.75 per ride, with a $5 daily cap, and a $20 refill on a Tap Card is usually enough to get around LA).
Safety-wise, I'd say it's decent. It's in a transitional area between the more dangerous Skid Row and the safer Financial District in DTLA. I'd advise against coming back too late or wandering around at night. If you do come back late, it's best to take an Uber. If you're walking, try not to stare at the homeless, and don't engage if they talk to you. The hotel has a live front desk and security. You need to use your key card to enter after 6 PM and also to use the elevator. It feels very safe during the day, so you can confidently go out and explore. Theft and robbery aren't as prevalent in the US as some might think; you'll see plenty of people playing on their phones while waiting at traffic lights, and people carry their backpacks normally.
The hotel rooms, while not huge, have distinctive lighting. There's a tablet by the bed that allows you to activate a 'sleep mode' with one tap, and you can control the lights and TV channels through it, which is very cozy and comfortable. However, there's no kettle for hot water. For someone like me who likes hot drinks, you can go to the bar on the first floor and ask the staff for hot water for free. They also have various free tea bags. Coffee and alcoholic drinks are extra, though. If you don't feel like going out at night, ordering a drink and chatting with an American is a great way to experience the nightlife – Americans are really good conversationalists!

The hotel is great overall and I genuinely enjoyed many aspects of my stay. The facilities, location, and overall atmosphere were good, and the staff were helpful and accommodating. However, one issue that affected my experience was an unpleasant smell that was noticeable during my stay. While everything else met my expectations, the odor made the room feel less comfortable and impacted the overall experience. I hope this can be improved in the future, as the hotel has a lot of great qualities and potential.

The biggest advantage of this hostel is its location in downtown, which makes it very convenient for getting around to other areas. However, being located downtown can also be a drawback. Once it gets dark at night, it’s not a good idea to walk too far outside the hostel. I’m not sure exactly where it was coming from, but I could constantly smell ********* around the hostel and near the elevators.
Despite the building being old, the hostel itself was very clean. Unlike a typical hostel, it feels more like a hotel that has been converted into a hostel. There is a shared bathroom for each room, but please note that no amenities are provided at all. There is also no hair dryer. On the first floor, there is a fairly large and stylish lobby. In the basement, there is a small shared kitchen with a few tables in the same room, as well as a small room where you can work out. There are no coin-operated washers or dryers. The staff were friendly.

The hotel gave us a room on the 48th floor with amazing city views. The twin room with 1.5-meter beds was spacious and comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was a bit low, but all the bath amenities were provided. The highlights were definitely the gym and the pool. I highly recommend checking them out. The outdoor pool had a comfortable temperature, and at 1.2 meters deep, it was perfect for both swimming and just splashing around.

The hotel is self-service throughout the stay, the kitchen is integrated with a stove, there are supporting cookware and tableware, dishwasher, washing dryer, all very well used, each floor has an observation deck to sit, the view is very good. There is a subway station 500 meters walk, which is very convenient to travel. About 800 meters from Little Tokyo Street, many restaurants and small shops, there are Japanese supermarkets to buy ingredients suitable for Chinese people. In short, the overall experience is very good, a travel or family visit is very suitable.

Visited LA for the Auto Show at the Convention Center. This hotel was perfect as it was just across the street from the Center. The view from our room was great, the room was a bit compact but good enough. Comfy beds, strong shower head, and great breakfast buffet on the 34th floor. They had Happy Hour at the Bar Moxy on the main level, decent burger and chicken wings. The service could've been a bit more friendlier and attentive instead of us asking when we needed something. Nonetheless I would definitely consider staying here again for another event at the Center.

Our family of three stayed for four days and were quite satisfied. The room was very spacious, and the two double beds were large enough. American hotels generally don't have kettles, so the portable one we brought was very useful. We had to ask the front desk daily for bottled water, and they'd give us two bottles. The hotel's location is excellent; it's convenient for getting around with a subway station nearby. Little Tokyo has Japanese supermarkets where you can buy plenty of food and drinks. Angel's Flight, City Hall, the art museum, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Grand Central Market, and The Last Bookstore are all within walking distance.

Every time my flight lands early, I can usually early check-in, which is so important for someone who's just had a long flight. That's the main reason I chose this hotel for the second time. Most of the staff are quite friendly, and the rooms are large and quiet. The only thing I was a bit disappointed with this time was the cleanliness of the room; there was hair on the shower wall and a contact lens left by a previous guest on the floor that wasn't cleaned up...

The room was great and comfortable. However, bottled water was limited to only two bottles per room, even though the room was for four guests.
We experienced a security issue when someone unexpectedly entered our room at around 10:30 pm. Fortunately, I was still awake. This happened on our last night, and we informed the manager, but it did raise concerns about hotel security.
Guests should also be prepared for the taxes, which can be quite high (approximately USD 170–200).
On the positive side, the location is excellent, very close to the metro and very convenient. The complimentary chocolate drinks on Christmas Eve were a nice touch.

The access was good and there were no major issues for sleeping overnight.
The only thing that bothered me was that the shower room door didn't close completely and it was difficult to adjust the shower temperature. The water only felt lukewarm, about 37-38 degrees Celsius. Also, although my room was on the second floor, the hotel's outdoor unit was noisy.

KKenzhao777This hotel is located right in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. While it's an older building with a bit of history, the design is fantastic and has a truly unique style. The outdoor pool area is lovely and perfect for relaxing. Overall, my stay was very comfortable; the hotel has both character and elegance. You can't go wrong choosing this place for your trip.

DDaofeng006Almost everything was perfect. The hotel's surroundings were actually quite nice, although there were a few homeless people and some advice against going out at night, which made me feel a little uncomfortable. However, this didn't diminish my appreciation for the hotel, and I would choose it again next time. The room was very comfortable, like a top-tier hotel in China, and cleanliness was not a concern. Breakfast was served in the Marriott lobby and was decent, including my favorite Mexican breakfast. Los Angeles is a Chinese city, so food is plentiful. I recommend Dongtingxian in San Gabriel, authentic Hunan cuisine, especially the perilla fish soup, which is a soup you can drink, not a spicy broth.

GGuest UserI stayed here to watch an NBA game at Crypto.com Arena, and it was a great choice because it's just a short walk away. This meant I didn't have to walk through downtown or take an Uber late at night after the game. It was a little confusing that the air conditioner control was on a remote near the entrance, not on the unit itself. There's no complimentary water, so you'll need to bring your own. The room was spacious and clean, making for a comfortable stay. I would definitely stay here again.

BBaigujingExcellent location, close to all downtown hotels and a large shopping mall. Convenient for shopping, dining, and meetings. The hotel is clean. Although tax is charged, the hotel offers complimentary breakfast or dinner, so there's no need to book meals when reserving your room.
The only downsides are the lack of a refrigerator and a large table in the room. However, the bed and pillows are very comfortable. There are also fast-food options nearby, making it easy to control food expenses.

AAnonymous UserThe price of the apartment that Ctrip cooperates with Airbnb is a little better than Airbnb. Airbnb mainly has service fees and cleaning fees, and the number of days is not cost-effective. In downtown, it is suitable for our family to travel for cooking and laundry. There are many places to punch in nearby, very close to the Little Tokyo City Hall. The room is very large with two bedroom suites. The sliding door is separated from each other's privacy protection. The guest restaurant is in the middle. The disadvantage is that the smell of food in the room can't be dissipated, the bed is uncomfortable and the back pain is uncomfortable. I have lived in the United States for more than ten days and this bed is uncomfortable. No one cleans every day without tipping every day, hahaha.
