We were welcomed by the bellboys at the front entrance. Upon arrival, it was an easy 10 minutes to check-in, and were in our room and off to the pool within 30 minutes. The pool was nice and nothing to do with the hotel, but the pool was hot due to the weather being almost 90 degrees and sunny. The service at the pool was great, the workers have such a great attitude and are always willing to help. There is a 2nd pool overlooking the marina with spectacular views of the mountains, water, and yachts along the marina walkway. It is located within 5 minutes of downtown with tons of restaurants, shops, and music from all the nightclubs, as well as live music at some of the outdoor venues. It's very busy on the weekends and less crowded during the week. The hotel offers an all-inclusive package, however, we did not purchase it, but did have breakfast the last day and it was $20.00 USD per person. Overall, a great hotel, and we can't wait to go back !

The hotel is small in size. There are very few choices in the restaurant bar. There is a coffee snack bar and there is no activity. Overall, it is acceptable for people who like to lie down and enjoy a quiet holiday. The hotel lobby is beautiful. The pool is divided into several infinity pools. The photo is beautiful. The room is very clean. The staff is very hot. Generally speaking, the price is average.

Rooms were ok for the price. No sewer smell for us. Shower drain was slow though. Food was the best, authentic Mexican, I couldn't eat enough. Food selection was minimal, but it was really great tasting. Pool bartenders were slow, but sped up if you leave a few bucks for tip. Check in was mostly quick. However once you are checked in you are ushered over to the time share people. Just say NO. We even had the infamous Jorge take our baggage, no problems with him, he was polite, knowledgeable and quick. The only major complaint about this place was the trash wifi. The wifi DOES NOT have a MESH system. So as you move throughout the resort you have to connect to a new hotspot. Infuriating, on top of that they use some home grown crap sign in system, so your device cannot ever remember the username and password. So every time you sign in (even if you signed in previously) you have to re-enter the wifi credentials. I've had way better wifi at cheap hotels in the mountains of costa rica in the middle of no where. It's 2022 there is absolutely no excuse for this.

The room is very large and comfortable. The pool is very nice. The hotel restaurant is also cheaper than the surrounding restaurants and recommended. Overall the hotel is new and wonderful, but the lady at the front desk is very impressed with the prepaid payment at the time of check-in and the explanation of what is an open voucher that can be used in the hotel is insufficient It was incompetent. The staff other than her were friendly and nice.

We had a group of 6 in a 2 bedroom villa to celebrate my daughter's 25th birthday. The resort is beautiful....clean, modern and well appointed. Check in was smooth and we enjoyed pool time while we waited for our room to be ready. The villa was beautiful. I loved the white and contemporary furnishings. Housekeeping was very good with sheets changed daily and room refreshed at turn down. The kitchen is spacious as we prepared breakfast and lunch most days. Small details, but the kitchens could use a cookie sheet for baking and a larger frypan. We enjoyed the pool each day and found plenty of lounge chairs available when we went down. No need to get your space early in the morning. Loved getting up to watch the sunrise on the beach. No swimming here, as the undertow is strong, but we loved walking the beach. Food in both Javier's and by the pool was terrific. Margarita's are very good, and the service is excellent. The store on the property has basic needs, but found the local Selecto Chedraui has an excellent selection of fresh tortilla's, liquor, wine and food. We loved staying away from busy Cabo San Lucas, preferring the San Jose area for our family.

I don’t normally write reviews but I just needed to put my experience out there. I wish someone had been honest about the little things in their reviews. First I’d like to say that I don’t think my issues with our stay reflect the staff so much as the property. Everyone is extremely helpful and friendly and wants to make your stay as nice as possible. But I wouldn’t say they stand out as a whole compared to other properties/resorts staff. The property visually is stunning and it’s like it’s own little village with little alleys and pathways. It’s built into the mountain and they utilized the natural surroundings and rock structures in a way we don’t see much in the states. The lighting and other details like the heart trees are beautiful. But beauty doesn’t lead to functionality. Our room was absolutely gorgeous but not easy to move around in. The open air concept in the bathroom is beautiful but I just don’t enjoy taking open air showers. Most properties have a big airy bathroom but the shower has a glass surround that you can choose whether you want some cool air with your shower or not. Ok fine, not a deal breaker. Let’s move on. The bathroom door(s) is floor to ceiling barn door style double door. They bolts slide from one side and to shut the door you have to slide the outside panel past the sink, countertop, which makes it awkward if you just need to pop out to get some thing. Again, not a dealbreaker. Moving on. The view from our room was very unique with a dead palm tree right in the middle. It was still a gorgeous view but we’re at the Waldorf Astoria right??? After staying at a different location for four nights prior to our three day stay at WA, I felt great and well rested. Then we came over to the Waldorf…. Between the mosquitos in our room biting me and the mattress, I did not sleep well. The sitting area in our room made the space super cramped and it was difficult to move around. And the only place to lounge in the room is on the bed. Outside by the plunge pool there is no lounger either which I found disappointing. So the only place we can lounge is the shared pool areas and a few spots on the beach. So the biggest issue I had with our room is how “thin” the walls sound. The people above us kept dragging chairs around and it sounded like they were doing that in our room. People walking by outside when our doors were all shut sounded like they were in our room. Our room was along the route to el Farallon so we heard everyone and their loud conversations going to and from the restaurant. All those things together made it a deal breaker for me. The rest of my issues are just added in for extra flavor and some weren’t exactly the WA’s fault. We ended up being seated next to a family with a crying baby for way too many meals, trying to eat outside in the daytime meant covering your food between bites bc the flies were so bad, and don’t think you’ll get to use the one hot tub they have. Hyatt Ziva Cabo! This review is geared towards those with young kids. Wife and I brought our 11 month old, and 3 1/2 year old boys. I was nervous going due to the recent reviews I had been reading. I can tell you this resort is fantastic, from start to finish and great for kids. We have been to five all inclusive. A Rio, Sandals, and Iberostar and this was overall our best experience. PROS: 1. Food: 7 or so restaurants. ＞ Buffett was above average food, with a large selection. Freshly made breakfast burritos, fresh Guacamole and ceviche were our go to's. Plenty of food for my kids that they enjoyed. ＞ Mexican restaurant. Good quality food ＞ Chinese/Japanese: Normal sushi role was just okay. Ask for the specialty role, it is as good as any role we have ever had in California at a Sushi Restaurant. ＞ Habachi Grille: Excellent! This is the only one you need to book in advance. 3-5PM, go to the lobby and sign up, you will be a few days out for a reservation. ＞ Food by the pool: Snack bar: Had really good healthy bowls, as well as hamburgers, fries, etc. There is a taco bar next to the ADULTS pool, also very good. Take it to go with kids. 3PM a quesadilla trailer opens, also a good spot. ＞ Itailian: Pizza and salmon were good. Not amazing. ＞ French and Argentinian: We did not get a chance to try. French is the only 18+ * Rooms: Excellent!! Massive room, large balcony with ocean views. Room was very clean, mini bar stocked with beer, snacks and water. Bathroom good size. We were able to shower both boys in there together. * Kids activities: ＞ Kids pool! Great pool, 3 slides, shallow water. Adults not allowed to go down slides. My 3.5 year old loved it, though I would say it is geared more towards 5-10. 2 of the slides were very fast. Also a small kids pool, about a foot deep next to it. ＞ Kids club: did not use. You are not allowed in there with your kids. That was a bummer. I believe you have to drop your children off, probably extra charge. It would have been nice to be able to utilize the arts and crafts for my son, but were not able to. Playground next to it. ＞ Beach. Large beach to play in the sand. No swimming at all. Very dangerous. Fatal. ＞ Pools: BEAUTIFUL! 2 massive pools in the middle of the Resort. kids can use both. Both are very warm. One has a swim up bar. We rented a water cabana one day, I believe for about $115. Well worth it. * Shows: Great entertainment! 45 min shows, starting at 8:30PM every night. Pretty late for kids, but we kept my kids up and decided to go each night and they loved it. One show was superhero and Disney, etc. another was geared towards the show COCO. My son got to meet the superhero and coco and it made his trip. Dancing is excellent and the main singer has a Disney style voice. * Service: Excellent. Everyone was very kind, worked extremely hard. We tipped well the whole trip because they deserve it. Wages are likely low, so be courteous, they are working hard for us to enjoy the experien

I loved my Week at this relatively New Hotel it is walking distance from The Airport I flew Down to SJD Airport YVR Vancouver BC on Air Canada & came back on West Jet Airlines thankfully unlike other Fliers on Southwest or Sunwing etc I had no delays or cancellations.My Room there was big, neat & comfy with a Shower & Toilet & oddly a Sink that was outside of The Bathroom near The Door Entrance.They give offered a free North American Style Breakfast a Buffet that had Scrambled eggs & Ham,Hash Browns,French Toast a few other food items + Coffee & Orange Juice 🍊.This Hotel is one that a Lot of Guests seemed to use it for overnight stays after staying at either Air B&B's & Hotels in San Jose Del Cabo or further Down in Los Cabos because of it's very close proximity to The Airport.I ran into some Travelers from Chicago & Edmonton there.I liked the Staff The Front Desk were efficient & friendly there they were all helpful especially Caesar who was always helpful in anyway possible plus he gave me some good Transport tips.I would recommend this Hotel to anyone staying for a day or longer I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again in the future so yeah it gets 2 thumbs up from me👍👍.I liked my time there especially hanging out by the Tranquil Swimming Pool with all The beautiful Mini Palm Trees 🌴 on one side of it.San Jose Del Cabo maybe catch you on The Flip Side in a few years time as Roger Moore/ Lord Brett Sinclair says in The Persuaders Old TV Show to one of his 3 Hitch Hiker Friends in the back after his Front Seat Lady Friend vacates The Front Passenger Seat..next!
