Firstly I must commend the staff! All we encountered were fantastic. Secondly, the hotel is in a great position, offering great views of the resort. Thirdly, we thoroughly recommend paying the extra for the UP! Terrace. In general, I agree with much of what previous positive reviewers (mostly repeat visitors) have commented on, we found the hotel offers much, but the quality is lacking for me in key areas. For us a good night sleep is paramount for a good holiday. This was not possible for me, though I do have hip problems. The mattress was lumpy and the pillows were flat (no matter how many one used). Another vanguard for a good holiday is good food. We found the choice was great. Plenty of options for the vegan, veggie, and fish eaters. We aren’t and found the choice limited. Consisting of tough meat (except for the leg of lamb) on show cooking station, and stews of meats that appeared to be the meat offered on show cook area the night before (this may be coincidental of course). The twin room was light and airy with good a/c and bathroom. However, the plastic balcony furniture didn’t meet up to the four star experience. On our last day, a few hours before departing, one chair collapsed while I was sat on it. When reporting to reception, the explanation was that the plastic fails in the sunshine. The response seemed rehearsed! given the speed of delivery in a foreign tounge. Maybe, describing the frequency of the plastic chair failure. May I add, I have one replaced hip, and second hip replacement due shortly. So it was not a good experience.
