Good location and good breakfast. However, guests are not allowed to wear shoes inside the hotel, which didn’t make much sense as the floor in our room was dirty — my shoes were honestly cleaner than the floor. We also rented a scooter from the hotel, but it was given to us with an empty tank. Since it was Lao New Year, we visited around five petrol stations and found them either closed or out of fuel. One place offered petrol at 160,000 kip, which we refused since the scooter rental itself was only 190,000 kip. We decided to return the scooter, but about 1.4 km before reaching the hotel, it ran out of fuel completely. Fortunately, a kind local shop owner helped us by selling petrol in a beer bottle, which allowed us to make it back. We were quite disappointed that the scooter was provided with an empty tank during a holiday period, without any warning that petrol would be difficult to find. The hotel only refunded 120,000 kip, and overall it was not a pleasant experience. If you rent a scooter here, make sure it comes with a full tank or confirm fuel availability in advance.

Good size room, not on the riverside but next to the road by the river. Only issue was the safe didn’t work.

The location is fantastic, but the hotel itself is quite outdated. The doors make squeaking noises, and the room facilities are barely functional. The worst part of our stay was checking in; there was no one at the reception, and we had to wait for about 20 minutes. On top of that, the staff were neither welcoming nor friendly, and we didn't see a single smile from them

There were some amenities which were a bit difficult to use such as the shower. But overall great room.

Very close to the Mekong River, walking distance to the night market and restaurants. No bicycle rentals 🙁I gave them three stars for being willing to change our room which had many issues. I could go any higher because they didn’t clean or change any sheets and towels during our 5-day stay. Breakfast isn’t great the only thing worth having was a cup a coffee and toast.

The room was clean and spacious, it had all the necessary conveniences, the staff was friendly, the location was great. We did not like the breakfast at the restaurant - there was not much food to choose from, there were just eggs and one more dish whuch was different every day, but if you do not eat eggs and do not like that other dish (for example, noodle soup or sticky rice), there was nothing else. The other thing is that one of the receptionists did not speak English at all. And if you are having problems due to the fault of the hotel staff, it is really difficult to settle everything down due to lack of understanding. We had problems with bus tickets. We bought our bus tickets to Phonsavan at the hotel (they announce that they sell bus tickets) right after we checked in at the hotel, for the date in three days after our arrival. But the night before the day when we were scheduled to leave in the morning, we were told by the hotel staff that the bus had been cancelled, that there would be no buses to Phonsavan the next day because it was Vietnamese New Year (festival), and that we could not go there that day, there were no options for us, that we could go there a day later. We were really frustrated because we had everything set - airplane tickets from Phonsavan to Vientiane and hotel in Phonsavan. But as we found out the next day, it was a lie. We went to the bus station by ourselves, and there were minibuses to Phonsavan, so we were able to get there. I have no idea why the staff lied to us and why they cancelled our tickets. Do not purchase any tickets or tours from the the hotel.
