The Secret Luang Prabang

It's quite close to Foreigner Street and also pretty quiet. The breakfast was delicious too. A few downsides though: First, the linens in the room weren't completely dry, and I woke up with mite bites. Second, there's no elevator, and the staff doesn't help you carry luggage upstairs, so you're on your own. Third, they don't provide toiletries for children.

Excellent value for money, right next door to Manohara! I booked three nights in a row. There are bikes from the neighboring place parked outside that you can just grab and use, haha. It's super convenient to get everywhere – the morning market and almsgiving are just 2 to 5 minutes away, and the cruise pier is right to the left. Everything is incredibly close! Try to avoid rooms facing the street.

A compact and clean hotel. It has a balcony where you can relax while overlooking the pool. It's a bit far from the city center, but within walking distance, so it wasn't an issue. The area around the hotel is very quiet, making it perfect for relaxation.

The staff were exceptionally good, very enthusiastic in helping with issues, and super friendly. The female staff members were sweet, and the male staff members were gentle. What was unacceptable, though, is that for light sleepers, this place is an absolute nightmare. There's constant traffic noise from the road outside, and it's extremely loud. The walls offer no soundproofing whatsoever, and the windows don't seal properly. I initially stayed in room 101, but couldn't bear it in the middle of the night, so I was moved to 209. It was slightly better after midnight, but I was still woken up by vehicle noise around 6 AM. There's nothing that can be done about it, as it's due to the location. If you're not bothered by noise, this place is a good option; it's very convenient to get to the market and attractions. The room facilities are decent and quite new. Breakfast was also good.

The duvet in the room near the pool was a bit damp, but it didn't really bother me. It was relatively quiet checking in at night, though the soundproofing wasn't great – I could hear people talking on the phone next door. There's a motorcycle rental right by the hotel for 200,000 IDR per day (24 hours), which is super convenient. I also saw staff cleaning the pool at night – nice!
