This youth hostel has a great environment, reasonable prices, excellent facilities, and friendly staff. It's clean and tidy – a really good hostel. They helped with booking transportation, buying high-speed train tickets, and all their services were top-notch. It was my first time traveling abroad independently, coming to Laos, and I felt that this hostel in Laos provided exceptional service. They were also very welcoming to elderly guests. I took so many photos because it's genuinely a fantastic place, and there are many young foreign travelers here.

Luang Prabang was probably the stop I was most looking forward to in Laos. On my first day staying at The Jam hostel, I met a Japanese girl. It felt like a mini-United Nations, bringing together people from all over the world. We chatted, planned trips together, and when I left, I even met some fellow Chengdu travelers heading to Thailand with me. It was a fantastic experience!

The hostel was in a great location and staff were very friendly. We found it super easy to meet people around the pool or in the dorms. We stayed in an 8 person mixed dorm with ensuite, bathroom was big and room was clean, and you got two lockers, one inside your bunk which was helpful! The bar had relatively cheap drinks and food was convenient and affordable. Staff were also helpful for booking us a Nong Kiaw trip, good price too. Some of the bathrooms did have drainage issues but were fixed quickly

Nice hostel for a good price. Toilet in dorm was not very clean, ants everywhere. The bed was also not great. they all come with their own personal fan but it makes a lot of noise and causes the bed to shake. Loud music until late at night from the restaurant at the hostel. Prices at the restaurant are generally high for what you get too. You have to pay for a towel. But staff is very friendly and location is unbeatable.

Staff are friendly, laundry is available; 25K per 1Kg. Rooms are small and could help if they renovate it. Cockroach in the bathroom. The housekeeping put the blankets on the floor before getting them in bed… The hostel can become noisy most of the times, so if you are seeking quietness, then this is not ur place

This hostel is a good distance from the loud night market area but is still an easy walk from it. I appreciated their cafe and poolside area, but I was not there for the nightlife. The lockers in the rooms were a good size, and each bed has an individual fan that can be turned on inside the bed curtains. Our room was above a staff/family apartment however, and the noise of the kids downstairs was occasionally disruptive.

The facilities are complete, and the rooms are clean and tidy. The front desk staff speak both English and Chinese. The common area is quite spacious, and the pool is very clean. It's really comfortable to have a drink and chat in the common area in the evening, perfect for unwinding!

This is the best hostel in Luang Prabang, and one of the best I've stayed in for years. It's very international, has great facilities, offers sports and swimming, and the atmosphere is fantastic. Highly recommend overall.
