Meunna Boutique Hotel Luang Prabang

We loved staying in Meunna Boutique Hotel. We had a spacious and clean room with air-conditioning and a little balcony. The breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice and we used the laundry service. But the best was the always friendly and helpful staff. We were served a delicious fruit juice evertytime we can back to the hotel, even when we already checked out, and they arranged everything from us with a smile. Location is nice, a bit away from the most touristic old city but with still plenty of restaurants and shops.

Large rooms in a small boutique hotel. Staff couldn’t do enough for us and were very friendly. Pool is nice but not much room around for lounging unless you have one of the poolside rooms. Booking engines don’t make it clear which are the poolside rooms. About a 10-15 minute walk into town to the main drag but heaps of places to eat etc near the hotel.

Great little hotel set back from a busy street but still quiet and peaceful. The room was clean and comfortable, had a great shower with plenty of hot water and the pool was nice to cool off in and have a bit of a swim. Breakfast was included in our stay and was cooked to order always with a bowl of fresh fruit, tea or coffee and fresh juice. All fresh and tasty. Lam and Khan were fantastic hosts so friendly and helpful with lots of knowledge and happy to help arrange trips etc. They arranged for us to hire mopeds and had them delivered so quickly, we were off exploring the town and surrounding area in no time. It’s a 15 minute walk to the night market but if that’s too long the hotel also offer free bicycles to get around on. The town and area is so safe it’s easy to leave them and they won’t get taken. I’d highly recommend to anyone looking for a midrange place to stay in Luang Prabang

We booked this hotel, the major part of our decision is "the website photos". However, once we arrived, the reality was soo much different and we were really disappointed. The property is so much smaller with no facility at all. The hotel is located a bit off the main street and it's like 1 km from the main area. The worst thing was the bathroom had the sewage smell 24/7 that we had to close the bathroom door all the time . The Wifi and phone signal in our room were so weak to the point that we could not do anything on our phones at all . Breakfast was all right but quite slow since it only had one staff serving the entire guests. However, the staff were very nice and friendly and the hotel offered free bicycles to bike around Luang Prabang. We would not stay here again if we visit Luang Prabang in the future.

We had a superb stay at Meunna Boutique Hotel. The rooms were lovely and the hotel is well situated near the Khan River and a few blocks from the old town. Manager Czong and his team were particularly helpful. Czong was continually attentive to guest needs.

We stayed in the top floor with a bath for the first 3 days then moved to the lower floor pool access room for 2 days as we extended our stay. Both rooms have different reviews. To begin with I cannot express enough how helpful friendly and professional Koung the manager is, wow he is an absolute gem :) an incredible asset to this hotel. His morning breakfast cooked by him is amazing, the choice is very good my hubby especially liked the Lao sandwich. On an early start one day he made us sandwiches to go, so that we could eat them once we got to Kung Si Waterfall. Koung helped us out with tours and we hired 2 motorbikes from him that were in excellent condition for $10 per day, Koung also organised for my prohibited items not allowed on the train to get to my next hotel in Vang Vieng, they were there we arrived the next day :) The hotel is in a quieter part of town, but still a nice easy walk to the street food market and lots of restaurants close by. The pool was lovely, again spotlessly clean. The hotel and our large rooms were spotless, lovely hot water with good water pressure, nice smelling toiletries, with great WIFI throughout all the hotel areas. However, the rooms just need a few more basic touches as neither rooms have drying clothes racks, wicker baskets would also be a good idea for used towels, as I didn't like just putting them in the bath upstairs or on the shower floor downstairs, hooks are definitely needed for towels as there is no where to hang them. The air con upstairs is better in that it doesn't face the bed, but downstairs its directly opposite the bed so we was unable to use it during the night as our faces got too cold. The bed was a bit too hard but that's just our preference.
