Asoca Hotel Luang Prabang

Wonderful service, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They provide whatever it is you need and are willing to help with anything that is within their rights and capabilities.

Asoca Hotel was nice and newly built , also secluded from the road so traffic free noise. It is central but not too central. You can walk 15 minutes max to the night market, bars, restaurants. But you can also borrow bikes for free and they are in excellent condition. The rooms are luxurious and well built with a balcony. The best wooden doors and windows we have seen in south east Asia. Exceptional quality and joinery. The walls are good and thick, we never heard our neighbours. The WiFi was very average speed though and Netflix was struggling. All the reception staff are delightful and helpful. We liked interacting with them all. Special thanks to Jayne for arranging our train tickets to Vang Vieng. The breakfast options are also exceptional and great value. For best results choose what you want the night before. The rooms and hotel are extremely clean. We decided to extend our stay.

The hotel is off the main road which is good as it is not that noisy and dusty. Well located and walking distance to Mekong River with nice sunset and cheap beer during happy hour in the evening. After happy hour and dinner Can walk to the night market near by. Lots of things to see and buy. Got some noodles shop nearby with fresh soya bean drink.

This hotel is located near the old quarter. It will take 20 minutes walk to the foreigner street. The room l checked in was stink with urine smell. After l complained about it, l was given another room. The hotel room is quiet as it is away from the main street and the night life area. Overall a satisfactory stay other than the inconvenience of moving to another room.
