Xieng Thong Retreat Hotel (Luang Prabang Old Town - Central Sisavangvong Road Branch)

Excellent! I really liked how thoughtful and clean everything was. It's great value for money, and the owner is Chinese so communication was super easy.

Safety first! The owner, a kind man from Zhejiang, was very hands-on, and the front desk staff were lovely. The bellboy even personally brought our luggage to the room. If you need a car or anything else, just ask!

The hotel's location is great! It's just a short walk to the Mekong River, making it super convenient to get anywhere. The owner is really nice and can help with exchanging Lao currency. The lady at the front desk is beautiful and very enthusiastic, speaks excellent Chinese, and patiently answered all our questions. She also helped us book a bus to Kuang Si Falls (at a better price than outside!) and a shared ride to the train station. We had a very comfortable stay, so we extended it for several more days. The lady would ask every day if we needed cleaning or more bottled water. The breakfast was also very thoughtfully prepared. We were very satisfied with everything here!

The room here was very clean and tidy, a bit smaller than I expected, but the linens were all new. The toothpaste and toothbrush were also the best quality I've seen while traveling in Laos. Plus, there's breakfast, and the owner is Chinese, so the front desk staff also speak Chinese, which makes communication very easy!

The room was great, the hotel environment was lovely, and the owner was very welcoming. The location is super convenient, and the views are beautiful too.

Hygiene: The wooden floor room was spotlessly clean. Facilities: The room was well-equipped, and they offered a simple breakfast that varied daily, either rice noodles or baguettes. We extended our stay for two more days. There's also a self-service washing machine, which was very convenient for doing laundry and drying clothes. Environment: The location is excellent, right near the foreign quarter. It's just a short walk to the Mekong River for coffee. In the mornings, you can easily go to the foreign quarter to see the alms giving, and in the evenings, it's only a few minutes to bars or massage places. Service: The owner is from Wenzhou, so communication was smooth. The front desk attendant, Ann, was also very nice. She helped us arrange transportation, carried our luggage, and recommended sightseeing tips. It was fantastic.

I guess you could call it a guesthouse. The rooms are on the smaller side, but the location is great, right next to Foreigner Street, so you can just walk over there. The owner is Chinese. The reception area is small, but there seem to be over 10 rooms available. They offer a simple breakfast. After all, the price is really affordable. The young lady at the front desk is local but speaks Chinese; she's sweet and helpful and even arranged a car for us to the train station.

The entire house boasts beautiful French architecture. The owner is incredibly kind and helpful, assisting with car bookings and anything else we needed. When I found the pillow uncomfortable, they immediately replaced it. They also offered currency exchange, with the option to return any unused currency. The service was absolutely perfect, highly recommended!
