My stay at the Luang Prabang Jinglan Hotel on this trip was absolutely amazing! Highly recommended! The hotel is situated on a scenic hillside overlooking Mount Phousi, just a 3-minute walk from the Luang Prabang Night Market, the Royal Palace, and Legian Street. A 10-minute walk from the hotel's back hill leads directly to the Mount Phousi viewing platform for sunrise and sunset views (get in early to avoid Mount Phousi entrance fee!). The hotel also offers panoramic views of the entire Luang Prabang Old Town. It's incredibly convenient to access Legian Street and the Night Market. The hotel boasts a rich history, with its buildings over 70 years old. Once a royal palace, it has hosted numerous royal guests, exuding a profound sense of history. The architecture blends elegant French colonial style with strong Lao local characteristics. The white walls are sophisticated and grand, the courtyards are lush with greenery, creating a captivating atmosphere of understated luxury. Staying there feels like stepping into a vintage paradise. What's most heartwarming is the hotel's attentive and thoughtful service. Many staff members are fluent in Mandarin, making communication seamless and ensuring a smooth experience for travel inquiries and check-in. The hotel also offers complimentary shuttle service from the airport and high-speed rail station, saving travelers the hassle of long journeys. For everyday outings, guests can book hotel vehicles to explore the city, making travel arrangements incredibly convenient. Furthermore, the staff are exceptionally warm and attentive, even proactively accompanying guests to local markets to purchase fresh fruit, truly making guests feel welcome on their journey abroad. The details are written in another review, and I will talk about the room again in this review. We booked two room types, the terrace mountain view room and the superior room. The terrace mountain view room is larger in size, located in the bungalows on the restaurant side, not in the main building. Although it is next to the restaurant, it does not feel noisy, and the sound insulation is quite good. The superior room is also large enough, located on the first floor of the main building and the bungalow by the swimming pool. The twin beds in both room types are super large. There are only 19 rooms in the hotel, and you can hardly see other guests at ordinary times. Every time you go to the swimming pool, you have to book it. There are many staff members, and you can see people working at various points. It feels that they have very high requirements for their own specifications. If you are not used to the style of inns and homestays, then you should stay here, which is more comfortable in all aspects.

I checked out today after staying for four nights. The room was very clean and the service was very good. There was no breakfast fee for my 9-year-old child. The hotel car provides free pick-up and drop-off in the city and the airport. A little brother in the lobby speaks Chinese and helped to arrange a chartered car to the waterfall. The ten-seater car only costs 80W. The location of the hotel is also very good. It is in the middle of the night market and it only takes 3 minutes to get to the night market from the back door. It is a test of courage at night. I don't know how it got to 3 o'clock. The only shortcoming is the breakfast. There are too few varieties and you can only eat outside. It is too cold to wear a down jacket in the morning. Hope it will be improved.

The hotel is built on a small hill near the city center. It is quiet in the bustling city. In the evening, sitting in the open-air restaurant facing the old city and ordering a drink, overlooking the mountains in the distance, it can be said to be refreshing and full of seclusion. The terrace mountain view room I stayed in this time is not located in the main building, but in the single-story building on the side. The room area is acceptable, the balcony is spacious but the view is average (there is a shabby residential building under my feet, and the mountain view in the distance is good), and the room type will be recommended overall. There are still some deficiencies in hardware and hygiene. Visible dirt was found on the curtains, shower floors, etc., but I personally feel that it is more inclined to poor maintenance rather than cleaning, and the appearance will indeed be greatly reduced. In addition, the sound insulation effect of the room is average, which is related to the building structure and is still within the tolerance range. Praise the service quality of the hotel. The service staff will take the initiative to provide simple night bed service, including but not limited to making the bed, adjusting the room air conditioner to a suitable temperature, turning on the mosquito repellent, etc. Since the hotel is built on a small hill, it is a little inconvenient to travel. The front desk Bent will take the initiative to help contact the driver to arrange a car, and even include a chartered car service to the Kuangsi Waterfall and scenic spots along the way (of course, the chartered car is charged separately and is not a hotel service), which deserves a big praise! Overall, the stay experience is comfortable and pleasant. Although there are some flaws in some aspects, the overall flaws are not enough to cover the merits. Of course, if you want to get a similar comfortable experience in Luang Prabang, you don’t have to consider the cost-effectiveness-this is indeed not as good as most domestic resorts. Finally, as a world cultural heritage in Laos, the ancient city of Luang Prabang deserves to be on the list of every travel enthusiast, and Jinglan Hotel is also a choice to ensure travel comfort and safety.

Compared with other local hotels, this hotel is not bad. It is very good that it provides free transportation to the station when checking out. The breakfast is also OK, and the rice noodles are delicious.
