We enjoyed our stay! The entire area around the villa is a calm oasis dedicated to textile craft with a stunning view over the Mekong river. The staff is very friendly. The restaurant is good and breakfast is also very tasty. There are two very minor downsides: The water of the shower was at best lukewarm. As the weather was quite cold during our stay, we suffered a bit. The location is a bit outside of the city center, but there is a free tuktuk available.

The people at Ock Pop Tok are truly wonderful! Thank you for making our 10-day stay in Luang Prabang so memorable. Your dedication and kindness meant so much to us. Duan, the hotel manager, was always sincere and helpful. Ket from the restaurant greeted us with a warm smile every day, and Ni provided great assistance during our weaving class. Bee, the weaving master, was an excellent teacher—thanks to their guidance, my wife created a beautiful tapestry. We’re also grateful to the tuktuk driver who took us around town, even in the heat. The peaceful moments by the villa, along with the serene flow of Mekong River, were unforgettable . We hope to return soon and are already planning our next trip.

We loved Ock Pop Top. All of the staff were so friendly and made us very welcome. Especially Mr Duan who helped us arrange a slow boat and Mr Noi and Mr Air who gave my partner lots of tips for local fishing. We only stayed 1 night but we will be coming back for sure. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. You can learn a lot about Hmong crafts which is very interesting. The food and drink is delicious, I recommend the tamarind margaritas! The rooms are beautiful and full of eco friendly amenities like mosquito spray, shampoo, soap etc and locally crafted decor. The balcony rooms facing the Mekong are amazing. The location is out of the town centre but they offer a free shuttle service via tuk tuk, you may have to wait a while but you can relax in the bar while you wait. The sunset from the restaurant is amazing but be aware that between 5:30-6:30 the mosquitoes come out in full force! Cover up or bring the spray from your room and keep topping up.

The staff are not helpful and rude. The hotel is far to the downtown when the shuttle bus are not often too. There are some facilities need to be shared, such as fridge and dinning tools in common room. Plus the hotel is next to the craft center, there will be some strangers trespassing to hotel area.
