Felt very at home at Potato Bush Camp, everyone was so lovely. We had the best fishing experience, I was very relaxed during my stay. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. We had the best lunch IN THE ZAMBEZI, truly unforgettable. I 100% recommend.

I travelled with my 15 yr old son. Our guide was Henry - we loved Henry :) he worked so hard for us and made the whole experience just wonderful. thank you for your patience with the fishing Henry. How he spotted that leopard with the dead honey. badger we will never know. The whole team at potato bush were so lovely too - thank you Faith for checking in with us daily. A highlight of our trip was witnessing 3 male lions rip into a deal gazelle - OMG was I terrified I have never experienced anything like it. Henry added to my trauma by intermittently turning his jeep lights off - yes it was in the middle of the night too. thanks for the nightmares Henry but also thank you so helping us to experience this truly magical place. we will be back.

My 16 year old son and I were blown away by our experience at Potato Bush Camp. We loved every moment of it. It truly felt as a home away from home. I cannot recommend this experience highly enough. A memory to be cherished always. We miss our Potato Bush Camp family!

Nature is amazing and by extension Potato bush is the most amazing holiday experience. The comfort, food , attention to detail and effort to always surprise make it a totally dreamlike vacation. It was am amazing experience from the moment we were collected at Jeki airport to our reluctant departure. Thank you All.

LONG overdue review here as my wife and I stayed at Potato Bush to start our Zambia safari in September 2022. Everything from the start to the end was spot on. I won't highlight all of the unique experiences and services one gets pampered with when staying here to not ruin it. In fact, I'm glad we didn't read about some of these things on Tripadvisor in advance because we were caught 100% by surprise, and it made it all the better. Suffice it to say, from the moment we were picked up by our guide, Alex, and transported in a boat to the lodge on day one to the end of our stay, we were thoroughly impressed. As anyone who has been on safari before knows all too well, having a personal guide is a game changer. We were able to get out on a short game drive the night we arrived, and within about 10 minutes of leaving the lodge (location in the heart of the park is a major positive) we were witnessing a mother leopard feeding on an impala. Then, the mother leopard walked out of the bush and reunited with her cub. What a start! We had some of our best encounters ever in the days we stayed here. In truth, we had more leopard sightings here than we did in South Luangwa. Some of the best photos we've taken on safari come from our time in Lower Zambezi. Besides the game sightings, the landscapes in Lower Zambezi are breathtaking. The bottom line: Gorgeous, well-appointed rooms with great bedding, outdoor showers, and plunge pools for relaxation during the break between morning and afternoon drives 5-star service, including a dedicated butler to make sure you are taken care of from beginning to end (tea dropped off on your coffee table to help you rise for the early game drive) A very nice selection of food and wine for meals; all high quality Lower Zambezi is truly a gem (possibly the best park we've had the luxury of visiting), and Potato Bush is THE place to stay when you come here. Thank you Faith, Alex, Marlon, and everyone!

We visited Potato Bush Camp in May 2023 and enjoyed our visit. The location is top-notch with the Zambezi river flowing past the camp (however, hippo calls can be raucous, including during the night). The staff do their absolute best to please guests at all times, and the service they deliver is a real pleasure. Our butler (Philip) was eager to help in any way possible and did a fantastic job. The food served in the camp is good and you will not go hungry. Thirst won’t be a problem either. I think all of our party put on a couple of kilos during our four days. Not everything is perfect. Some won’t like the tent accommodation because of the bugs (and frogs) that get in. Some won’t like the limited internet access. And some probably won’t like the bumpy roads that you go over during game drives. But these are small items that really don’t take away from the pleasure available from staying at Potato Bush Camp. Finally, we had a tremendous guide in James Duncan-Anderson from Wild N’ Beyond Safaris. The breadth of knowledge and insight James shared with us was just incredible and made a real difference to our experience.

This camp is a very well run camp on the banks of the Zambezi River. You will not be disappointed in your choice. A must for the bucket list. Masses of game and the big cats are always around. Excellent food and very good service. Beds are extra comfortable and lovely rooms with a small plunge pool of your own to cool of in when it is hot.

This was our first camp for the start of our adventure in Zambia, & it certainly didn't disappoint. The guide Collins that we had was amazing & so was all the rest of the staff. They kept us fed with amazing meals from the chef & hydrated with the amazing bartender. We wouldn't hesitate to go back. The only issue would be that we would go back earlier in July or August rather then Sept just because of the heat.

Witnessing a Wild dog pack hunting Waterbuck was a huge highlight. Truely nature in the raw! The sleep quality was down only because of the hippo nearby partying every night! Take some earbuds or similar.
