The hotel is indeed less than 100 meters from the train station; just turn right after exiting the station. After storing my luggage, I could immediately catch the train to Pisa, which was very convenient. Lucca's old town isn't large, and the hotel is right across from the city gate, making it easy to explore. The hotel offers great value for money. If you only want to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa, I recommend staying in Lucca; the town is very quiet.

For those attending the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago, this is the perfect option: right across from the train station, the official festival shuttle departs and arrives just a 5-minute walk from the hotel. It's air-conditioned, and the breakfasts are decent, albeit modest. Excellent

This traditional Italian hotel next to Lucca train station has a long history, as I learned from newspaper clippings. Its location is very convenient, it's family-run, warmly decorated, and the owner and staff are very welcoming, making it a comfortable place to stay. Breakfast is a buffet, and you can order coffee from the staff. The ice cream shop next to the hotel is also excellent and shouldn't be missed.
