The views from Luoyang Jiujianfang Hotel rooms are outstanding, with the street-facing balcony directly overlooking the Mingtang. We checked in just as it started snowing, and the daytime and nighttime scenery each had their own unique charm. The daily breakfast was a different local specialty set meal each day, which was a unique experience. The front desk staff was not only professional but also very enthusiastic. She recommended a Hanfu shop directly across from the hotel, and we went to try it out that very day – we were extremely satisfied.

The views were absolutely stunning! Even though it's on a main street, it was surprisingly quiet. Sitting indoors on a snowy Luoyang night and being able to see the Mingtang was incredibly delightful. The rubbings activity at the hotel was also really fun. The special spiced hot and sour soup (hutang) and Luanchuan kiwis were fantastic local specialties. And the auntie at the hotel is an amazing photographer! We got some rare, fantastic group photos from this trip. (Also, my family member forgot non-slip shoes, and the owner was super proactive with suggestions that actually worked, haha!)

Service: The service was superb. Breakfast was delicious and varied daily. The hotel's coffee shop is also excellent. The lady at the front desk was very kind and helpful.

The hotel is conveniently located near the Mingtang Scenic Area. A small heads-up for drivers: the hotel entrance can be a bit easy to miss, so keep an eye out. The hotel itself boasts a lovely environment, and the front desk staff, especially one young lady, provided absolutely fantastic service – she was incredibly accommodating, kind, and enthusiastic! Definitely well worth a stay.

The location is excellent, making it incredibly convenient to get anywhere. Upon checking in, we immediately felt a warm and welcoming vibe. The staff were wonderfully kind and accommodating, and our kids absolutely loved it. It was a fantastic family-friendly stay. Highly recommend! We'd love to come back again.

Jiu Jian Fang was truly the first pleasant surprise of my Luoyang trip. Honestly, Luoyang itself exceeded all expectations, and Jiu Jian Fang really kicked off my summer vacation there on a wonderful note. 1. **Aesthetics:** My photos clearly show the immense dedication the owner poured into this guesthouse. All rooms are located on the second floor, and each features an expansive private courtyard with an outdoor table, offering a lovely spot for guests to relax and unwind. 2. **Location:** The affiliated temporary cafe is a fantastic photo spot, directly overlooking the Tiantang and Mingtang attractions from the second floor. On the other side, you'll find the Sui and Tang Dynasties City National Heritage Park – making it a one-stop destination for stunning photos and Instagram-worthy moments. 3. **Service:** Genuine sincerity is truly their secret weapon. I must say, the people of Luoyang are incredibly warm and hospitable! Every staff member at Jiu Jian Fang was proactive and enthusiastic in their service. It truly felt like this guesthouse not only offers guests a home away from home but also serves as a cherished home that every staff member is deeply dedicated to. A special mention goes to one particular lady whose meticulous care was evident from the moment I arrived until breakfast service. Though I don't know her name, I'm incredibly grateful to have experienced such warmth and kindness during my trip.

As this is a guesthouse and not managed by a professional team, I was completely understanding of any minor shortcomings and didn't have overly strict expectations. First, let's talk about the positives: 1. The service was incredibly thoughtful and attentive, especially in the details. I was very impressed and it truly exceeded my expectations. 2. The location is close to the scenic area, and the best way to explore is by electric scooter. Situated in a somewhat dilapidated old town, the guesthouse itself boasts a distinctly elegant style that feels both out of place and uniquely charming – this is truly its biggest appeal. 3. The team here is incredibly dedicated and efficient; you can really feel their unity and collective effort. This guesthouse truly shines because of its strong 'soft power' – its intangible strengths like service and atmosphere. A few suggestions for improvement, though: 1. While a rusty old iron staircase adds to the character, cobwebs in the corners are definitely not acceptable. 2. If some of the tea leaves are chargeable, it would be better not to display them in the room, or at least clearly label them with a price tag, as conspicuously as a 'Do Not Take Away' sign. 3. The fruit platter wasn't fresh. If you're going to offer fruit, please make sure it's fresh, otherwise, it really diminishes the overall guest experience.

Luoyang in summer means shoulder-to-shoulder crowds at every attraction. After a hectic half-day of sightseeing, it was a welcome relief to return to the quiet of Jiujianfang. Its location is a tranquil oasis amidst the city's buzz, and the design is truly unique. Meticulous craftsmanship is evident everywhere, from the water features and lush greenery to the breakfast and every small detail. Highly recommended.

A truly satisfying stay. The guesthouse offers a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle. Its second-floor terrace provides a beautiful direct night view of Tiantang. It's incredibly convenient, located within a 10-minute walk of major attractions like Yingtian Gate, Mingtang Tiantang, and the Tanggong Yuyan restaurant. Breakfast was a highlight, featuring a variety of homemade soups, with the beef soup being particularly outstanding – far better than what you'd find in a restaurant. But the absolute best part was having a washing machine! Traveling during the summer means sweating constantly, so having laundry facilities available was an absolute lifesaver.

This was easily my favorite guesthouse throughout my entire Luoyang trip! The location is absolutely superb, and the staff were incredibly warm and attentive. They provided welcome fruit in the room, and you can even try your hand at traditional rubbings. One evening, when I made a last-minute request for ice, they thoughtfully prepared it and placed it in the mini-bar, making sure it wouldn't melt too quickly. They also gave us fantastic recommendations for local attractions and cuisine. All in all, highly recommended! Plus, it's super photogenic! 😄

The room was minimalist, very clean, and featured comfortable bedding. However, the absolute standout feature is the incredible view – it's worth staying just for that! The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. The location is also very convenient for visiting nearby attractions. Luoyang has been experiencing scorching temperatures recently, making it difficult to venture out during the day. Consequently, we didn't have a chance to explore the city's attractions. Fortunately, we could still enjoy a breathtaking view from our balcony, which somewhat made up for the missed opportunities.
