The Venetian Hotel

This is a Chinese-funded hotel, so most staff speak Chinese. They even have noodles and steamed buns for breakfast, which is great for business travelers.

High-class hotel. The only downside is that the TV is exclusively for Chinese guests. The service, cleanliness, comfort, and breakfast are all top-notch.

I came to Lusaka, Zambia for a business trip and stayed at the Venice Hotel for the first time. It was a great experience! The facilities are on par with what you'd find back home, and the breakfast spread is quite rich, offering both Chinese and Western options. The internet connection was good, and the service was very attentive. I'll definitely be making the Venice Hotel my go-to for future business trips.

The most unacceptable part of my stay was the hotel's deceptive laundry service. I sent a few items for washing, but there was no price list for laundry services displayed in the room. The staff who collected my clothes never informed me beforehand that this service would incur a charge. Only after all the clothes were washed was I suddenly told there would be an exorbitant fee of 1130 Kwacha. This is a classic example of hidden post-service charges. Prices for additional services should always be clearly stated in advance. unilaterally quoting a price after the service is completed is highly unprofessional and resulted in an extremely poor experience, severely ruining my overall stay. The hotel next door offers free laundry, and previous hotels I've stayed at in Zambia also offered free laundry. I advise future guests that if you need laundry services, be sure to confirm the fees repeatedly beforehand to avoid being scammed. Other hardware aspects of The Venetian Hotel were acceptable, but I strongly disapprove of this charging method.
