The GL8 was large and comfortable. The location was okay, though it wasn't directly on the main street. It took a 10-minute walk to the main street, but the busiest main street was about another 5 minutes away. I was fine walking around on the first day, but after climbing San Diequan on the second day, my legs were sore I barely had the strength to walk. We booked a tatami room. Upon check-in, the dealer, seeing that there were three of us, told us the bed was 1.2 meters long and couldn't accommodate an extra futon. We didn't plan to add one, and we shared the bed with our child. The mattress was thick and comfortable, and the room was brightly lit. The room was on the fourth floor, with an elevator. The window overlooked the building, and the curtains were always drawn, preventing a view. Of course, the window was covered, as stated in the booking. The soundproofing was poor. The room was very clean, but if someone used the water in the shower, it would affect the water level. We stayed two nights and checked out early at 8:00 a.m. to head down the mountain. We liked hotels with self-service laundry facilities because it was so hot and we were soaking wet after a day out, so we wanted to wash our clothes.
