DoubleTree by Hilton Luxembourg

Not sure is because of road construction out there or what that caused no water for 2-3 hours after checked in. When the water supply backs to normal, it is yellowish and I requested for bottled drinking water twice but they only offered welcome drink voucher to get small glass of beer wine or soft drink. Quite disappointing and even after a day the water still don’t look clean and drinkable.

Never judge a book by the cover. On the outside this hotel looks very average. Bit when inside what a lovly place

Room are large and sufficient with couch and table. It’s very close to bus stop and you can travel to the city from there.

The place was far from the city centre. It’s in the middle of a lush forest, and there’s direct bus 4 and 32 going to the city centre every 30 minutes or so. All public transports are free in Luxembourg. There’s a self-serviced supermarket and a few salons owned by the hotel in the same building. It’s equipped with a swimming pool and gym, but there was no time to try them out. Breakfast was worth it, so it’s best if you book the hotel with breakfast on trip.com rather than adding it when you’re in the hotel, since it costs €16 for breakfast pre-booking 1 night before and €23 for the same-day booking. There are free cookies given to patrons during check-in and upon request too from 10 a.m. and they are delish! So far, Luxembourg is not exactly a well-known tourist destination, but it’s an interesting place with an international palate.

We had a wonderful stay at DoubleTree Luxembourg. The room is very nice, the atmosphere is comfortable, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. The check-in was very smooth, amenities were well equipped which making our visit even more enjoyable. We would definitely come back again.

Nice rooms, beginning to show their age a bit. Very friendly staff. No issues with neighbour noise: slept very well. Located out of the city centre, bus frequency is every 30 mins. Not much else in the immediate vicinity.
