This hotel is very expensive, half price, but the location is super good. Remind everyone of two things, First, you can drive to the hotel entrance, but the navigation will be problematic. It should extend west of the highway ring outside the old city, from north to south (ie, Boulevard Royal to the south), turn left into Rue Nutre-Dame, 50 meters. Turn left into Rue Philippe II, cross two small streets, pass the Hermes Hermes store, turn right. Second, the hotel is mainly for luxury stores and downtown attractions, but all the businesses in the city (90%) are closed on Sundays, so try not to live in this hotel on Sunday, it is very boring.

Very well and centrally located between the pedestrian zone and the park, underground car park available. The hotel is not easy to reach by car due to the traffic layout in the city centre. Unfortunately, no one will help you with your luggage at check-in, even if you ask. But overall very friendly staff, a tiny bit slow. Good breakfast buffet and very good! Having lunch. The restaurant has a beautiful courtyard facing the city park. In the evening piano music in the bar, very good, unusual cocktails. Nice room with everything you need, good beds, no coffee maker in the room. Overall definitely recommended! We will stay there again.

Well, the penthouse-like restaurant: definitely one of the most splendid views of a capital city in Europe, slightly as breathtaking as the other vis-à-vis I had in this very restaurant on Saturday the 15th of July: an exquisite smile on a lonesome dark-haired woman right before me, later at breakfast, surely a daughter of Aphrodite she is! As available, I should have applied for late checkout on Sunday morning instead of leaving behind her at the reception desk, (sigh) weekends are always too short! So yes, all views considered, splendid breakfast in the restaurant (dining slightly less splendid as one view was missing)! ;) More seriously, this train station is only 10 min afoot away, so you can admire the city as making your way up there. Also, very nice single room, copious dishes, pleasant desserts (the mango was nicely done) and all that a caring personnel! On that note, a very nice weekend in this hotel, I'll definitely be back next year, hopefully to admire again the exact same views! To all the hotel personnel: Thanks for your service!

Facilities: The room is quite big. The bed is very comfortable. The facilities are very new. There is also Bose's stereo, the experience is very good. Environment: Near the EU Court, the tram stop is one or two hundred meters away. The environment is comfortable and very convenient. The hotel is glass top and the lighting is very good. Service: Very polite, check in in the morning, go to the front desk in the afternoon and they still remember my name. There was something wrong when I checked in, so they helped me deliver my luggage to the room. The processing speed was also very fast when I proposed to change the room, and I sent the room card directly to my room, and then helped me get my luggage to the new room.

Hotel Vauban is smack bang in the centre of Luxembourg City, opposite the town hall (confusingly called Hotel de Ville!) so location is perfect. It is a small boutique hotel off the main shopping streets. It is a tiny reception but the greeting is very welcoming. The elevator is only accessible by going up some stairs to the first floor so obviously not wheelchair or mobility accessible. The room was recently redecorated and was a decent size for a city centre in an old building. The bed was very comfortable and quite large. There is a spacious wardrobe, a desk and multi language television. The bathroom is a bit dated but was clean. The shower was small but with plenty of hot water and fantastic water pressure. Breakfast is served in the small cafe downstairs beside the reception. It was a table service continental style. Fresh bread roll, ham, cheese, yogurt, croissants, jam and orange juice and various coffees. This is the perfect spot to base yourself while on a visit to the beautiful capital city of the Archduchy. Highly recommended

We spent 3 nights in the hotel. It's a lovely boutique hotel in the centre of the old town. The location is excellent. We arrived very early and were able to leave our bags with the hotel so we could wander before checkin. The room was lovely and bright and spotlessly clean. It was very quiet and we couldn't hear those in the rooms around us. We could hear the bells of the cathedral which was lovely but once we closed the windows could not hear any noise from outside. The air conditioning was very good which was great, I had read that not all rooms have a/c and emailed the hotel requesting a room with a/c I received a prompt reply stating that there is a/c in all rooms. Breakfast was a small buffet but was more than sufficient. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend it.

I couldn't be happier to have chosen this hotel for the weekend in this wonderful city. Both the city and the hotel exceeded all expectations. First, the not-so-good. There was one staff member at the front desk who was less-than-friendly. There is no shower curtain, which renders it impossible to keep the bathroom floor dry. The toilet bowl is very low. There are lots of wasps near the breakfast area. The pillow was super flat. What I loved: the location - super close to downtown Luxembourg City. The breakfast offered a good variety of fresh and local foods (I did not pay separately for breakfast). The rooms were spacious with lots of electric/USB sockets. There was an air conditioner in the room. The bathroom was spotless and well-lit. Beds were comfortable. I did not hear from anyone else within the hotel, although I stayed at the hotel in August during peak season. The rooms were very clean. Breakfast was at a place with spectacular view.

Once through the barrier down a cobbled lane you eventually find the reception. Check-in was smooth and reception clean. Room spacious, clean and comes with kettle, fridge, safe and complimentary water. Nicely decorated too. Bed was huge but sadly not a good night's sleep as the pillows are terrible, far too soft and flat, had to ask for extra and still had to fold in half to get any firmness. Staff polite but not over welcoming. Outside areas could do with a spring clean and tidy. Hotel perfectly located for the centre, 5 min walk.

The room was on the upper floor opposite the hotel lobby. The room was large and a small snack was served. Self-driving in the past, the car stopped a huge parking lot, and the overnight stay seemed like 8 euros. It is convenient to walk from the hotel to some attractions.

I stayed 2 nights at this hotel for business. I got to the hotel from the airport on bus 29 and arrived around noon. Was hoping to check-in early but was advised the check-in time was later, although I can check-in earlier if I registered to be an Accor member - which I ended up doing although didn't really want to. The hotel is located in a quiet/more commercial part of town within 10 minutes walking distance to the train station and a short bus ride (5+ minutes walk to the bus station) to the touristy part of town. For a 4-star hotel, I expected a bigger room, a bath tub and a pool but the room otherwise had all the usual toiletries and coffee/tea making facilities. Buffet breakfast was excellent with freshly squeezed orange juice although it was only on the 2nd morning that I realised that the cold cuts were on a table at the back of the restaurant. Although breakfast officially starts at 6am, food was still being taken out from the kitchen at 6:20am. Reception was helpful with directions but after I checked out, I got a SMS from my bank notifying me that I had a Euro 1 charge on my card by the hotel - not sure if it was because I requested a printed copy of the invoice at check out because if that was what the Euro 1 was for, then reception should have informed me beforehand? At approximately Euro 200 a night, not value for money in my opinion.
