Susan's Guest House and Tours

The guesthouse owner, Susan, even gave us fruit. The surrounding area is a bit complicated, near the train station, located in a row of residential buildings further inside. However, this building stands out from the rest of the complex; its exterior and interior are relatively "normal," unlike the surrounding buildings which are mostly abandoned or unfinished. Stepping into the building from the bustling street, it becomes much quieter. Our family room was spacious and fully equipped, although we didn't need to use the kitchen or washing machine. There were two bathrooms, which was incredibly convenient.

We arrived at the hotel very tired after taking the sleeper train to Luxor. The owner offered us tea and told us some interesting stories. We felt deeply at ease in the place. We were lucky enough to be able to check in early, which was really helpful. The room was very spacious and comfortable. We also loved the local scenery around it. We would like to return someday. It was a very nice hotel.

The location is in a village. There's an announcement at 5 AM. No slippers, toothpaste, or water heater were delivered to the master bedroom. The sheets were pilling. There was only one blanket, no comforter.

Luxury apartment, great location close to everything essential; you can walk everywhere if you like. The area might seem a little intimidating, but it's very quiet, with friendly people who greet you as you pass by. Ramzi, the manager, was excellent and always available. I would definitely return.

I think you'll need a taxi to get around Luxor, but this hotel is located quite close to the city center so it's easy to catch one. Check-in is on the floor above, so be careful as it can be a bit hard to find! The hotel owners (a couple?) are very kind.
